RESOLUTION NO. 2023-29 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH MONTROSE FORD FOR THE PURCHASE OF A 2023 SUPER DUTY FORD F250 PICK-UP TRUCK IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($50,000.00) WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield has a continuing duty to the public to provide efficient and effective services to its residents; and WHEREAS, based upon recommendation, it has been deemed in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of all Village residents and inhabitants to obtain a new pick-up truck for the Village's Fire Department; and WHEREAS, Montrose Ford has submitted a proposal for a 2023 Super Duty Ford F250 in the amount of $48,960.24, which is lower than the State bid price; and WHEREAS, time is of the essence in that the build sheet for this new pick-up truck needs to be secured by Montrose Ford with a purchase order before Ford cancels it without a buyer attached; and WHEREAS, the Mayfield Village Fire Chief reviewed the proposal and recommends that the Village enter into contract with Montrose Ford in an amount not to exceed $50,000.00. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. Council hereby accepts and approves the proposal of Montrose Ford, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, for the purchase of a 2023 Super Duty Ford F250 pick-up for use in the Village's Fire Department in an amount not to exceed $50,000.00. SECTION 2. Council hereby authorizes and directs the Mayor and President of Council to enter into contract with Montrose Ford for the purchase of a 2023 Super Duty Ford F250. SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council, and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
