RESOLUTION NO. 2023-29 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH MONTROSE FORD <br />FOR THE PURCHASE OF A 2023 SUPER DUTY FORD F250 <br />PICK-UP TRUCK IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED <br />FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($50,000.00) <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield has a continuing duty to the public to provide efficient <br />and effective services to its residents; and <br />WHEREAS, based upon recommendation, it has been deemed in the best interest of the <br />health, safety and welfare of all Village residents and inhabitants to obtain a new pick-up truck for <br />the Village's Fire Department; and <br />WHEREAS, Montrose Ford has submitted a proposal for a 2023 Super Duty Ford F250 in <br />the amount of $48,960.24, which is lower than the State bid price; and <br />WHEREAS, time is of the essence in that the build sheet for this new pick-up truck needs <br />to be secured by Montrose Ford with a purchase order before Ford cancels it without a buyer <br />attached; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayfield Village Fire Chief reviewed the proposal and recommends that <br />the Village enter into contract with Montrose Ford in an amount not to exceed $50,000.00. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. Council hereby accepts and approves the proposal of Montrose Ford, a copy <br />of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, for the purchase of a 2023 Super Duty Ford <br />F250 pick-up for use in the Village's Fire Department in an amount not to exceed $50,000.00. <br />SECTION 2. Council hereby authorizes and directs the Mayor and President of Council <br />to enter into contract with Montrose Ford for the purchase of a 2023 Super Duty Ford F250. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council, and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place <br />in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />
