RESOLUTION 2023-34 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE <br />TO ACCEPT THE BID OF TC CONSTRUCTION, INC. IN THE AMOUNT <br />OF $242,250.00 AND ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE <br />AINTREE NORTH AND SANDALWOOD DRIVE NEIGHBORHOOD SIDEWALK <br />REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, it has been deemed in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of all <br />Village residents and inhabitants to replace the sidewalk blocks that have become displaced and/or <br />uneven in the Aintree North and Sandalwood Drive neighborhoods; and <br />WHEREAS, the bids for the aforementioned improvements were received, opened and <br />tabulated as per published notice on April 28, 2023; and <br />WHEREAS, the bid of TC Construction, Inc. in the amount of $242,250.00 was the lowest <br />and best bid received; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village Engineer, who prepared the design and bid specifications for this <br />project, has reviewed the bids and recommends that Council approve and accept the <br />aforementioned bid. A copy of his written recommendation and the bid tabulation is attached. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, County <br />of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio: <br />SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby accepts and approves the bid of TC <br />Construction, Inc. in the amount of $242,250.00. <br />SECTION 2. The Council of Mayfield Village does hereby direct the Mayor and President <br />of Council to enter into a contract with TC Construction, Inc. for sidewalk replacement in the <br />Aintree North and Sandalwood Drive neighborhoods in accordance with the specifications <br />contained in the bid documents. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place <br />in meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />
