RESOLUTION 2024-48 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING AN EXPENDITURE <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $28,000.00 <br />TO PAVEMENT TECHNOLOGY INC. FOR <br />ASPHALT REJUVENATION AS PART OF THE CUYAHOGA COUNTYWIDE <br />PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, based upon recommendation, it was deemed in the best interest of the health, <br />safety and welfare of all Village residents and inhabitants to perform periodic and annual <br />maintenance on roadways within the Village; and <br />WHEREAS, as part of that maintenance, the Village entered into a Master Cooperative <br />Agreement for Preventative Maintenance Services with Cuyahoga County for the Village to <br />participate in the Cuyahoga Countywide Preventative Maintenance Program; and <br />WHEREAS, at this time, the Village Engineer has recommended that certain roadways in <br />the Village, in coordination with the Cuyahoga Countywide Preventative Maintenance Program, <br />be improved with an asphalt rejuvenation process. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby authorizes an expenditure to <br />Pavement Technology Inc. for the asphalt rejuvenation of certain roadways in the Village in <br />coordination with the Cuyahoga Countywide Preventative Maintenance Program in an amount not <br />to exceed $28,000.00. Pavement Technology is providing this work based upon the State Contract <br />for same or similar materials and services (Contract ID No. DOT101L25-14). <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place <br />in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary so that the completion of the roadway maintenance asphalt rejuvenation <br />process may begin as soon as possible and before changes in the weather would delay the process. <br />It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the affirmative vote of not less than <br />
