RESOLUTION NO. 2024-54 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO ACCEPT THE PROPOSAL OF GREAT LAKES CRUSHING, LTD. IN THE AMOUNT OF $65,238.00 FOR THE PEDESTRIAN BOARDWALK, UNDERPASS AND BRIDGE APPROACH SLAB IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, based upon the recommendation of the Mayfield Village Engineer, it has been deemed in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of all Village residents and inhabitants to undertake the improvements to the pedestrian boardwalk, underpass and bridge approaches (the "Improvements"); and WHEREAS, proposals for the Improvements were solicited by the Mayfield Village Engineer; and WHEREAS, six (6) proposals were received; and WHEREAS, the proposal of Great Lakes Crushing, Ltd. was the lowest and best proposal received; and WHEREAS, said proposal was in the amount of $61,238.00; and WHEREAS, the Village Engineer recommends that Mayfield Village Council approve and accept the aforementioned proposal for said Improvements plus a contingency of $4000.00, bringing the total amount not to exceed $65,238.00. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby accepts and approves the proposal of Great Lakes Crushing, Ltd. in the total amount of $65,238.00 ($61,238.00 plus a contingency of $4000.00) for the Pedestrian Boardwalk, Underpass and Bridge Approach Slab Improvements (the "Improvements"), a copy of the bid tabulation and Engineer's Recommendation are attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A". SECTION 2. The Council of Mayfield Village does hereby direct the Mayor and President of Council to enter into contract with Great Lakes Crushing, Ltd. for the Improvements in the Village. SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and
