l Q�S <br />NO. 2025-17 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar and Council as a Whole <br />RECOGNIZING THE RETIREMENT OF LIEUTENANT PAUL JABLONSKI <br />AFTER MORE THAN 29 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE IN THE <br />MAYFIELD VILLAGE POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, on November 28, 1995, Paul Jablonski was hired as a Part -Time Police Officer with <br />the Mayfield Village Police Department. <br />WHEREAS, on April 28, 1996, Officer Jablonski was hired as a Full -Time Police Officer, and on <br />February 16, 2004, was promoted to Sergeant, serving as a Patrol Sergeant and Field Training <br />Officer; and <br />WHEREAS, During Lieutenant Jablonski's service in the Patrol Division, he received multiple <br />commendations and letters of appreciation for his professionalism, compassion, and leadership, <br />including numerous letters from the community complimenting his actions; and <br />WHEREAS, Lieutenant Jablonski also received multiple awards from Mothers Against Drunk <br />Driving for outstanding dedication to the fight against drunk driving; and <br />WHEREAS, Lieutenant Jablonski was assigned to the Mayfield Village Detective Bureau, where <br />he received numerous commendations for his investigatory skill and attention to detail; and <br />WHEREAS, Lieutenant Jablonski was promoted to the position of Executive Lieutenant on May <br />23, 2011 where he oversaw the critical operations of the Polic Department. Most notably, <br />Lieutenant Jablonski skillfully organized and coordinated the safe and effective management of <br />the past 14 Cruise Nights and July 0 Fireworks Celebrations, summer concerts at The Grove, and <br />many other special events; and <br />WHEREAS, Lieutenant Jablonski is deserving of our praise, gratitude, and earned retirement as <br />an Officer of the Mayfield Village Police Department. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY MAYOR BRENDA T. BODNAR AND <br />THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />The well -deserved retirement of Lieutenant Paul Jablonski is accepted effective <br />April 25, 2025. Lieutenant Jablonski is hereby recognized and congratulated i�' "4 A <br />for over 29 years of exceptional service to Mayfield Village.
