RESOLUTION NO.2025-33 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO <br />ACCEPT THE PROPOSAL OF MILLSTONE MANAGEMENT GROUP AND ENTER <br />INTO A CONTRACT WITH MILLSTONE MANGAGEMENT GROUP FOR FIRE <br />DEPARTMENT REPLACEMENT OF THE KITCHEN CABINETS AND <br />COUNTERTOPS IN THE AMOUNT OF $29,480.00 PLUS A TEN PERCENT <br />CONTINGENCY FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $32,428.00 <br />WHEREAS, it has been deemed in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of all <br />Village residents and inhabitants to replace the kitchen cabinets and countertops at the Fire <br />Department to preserve the integrity of these Village assets (hereinafter the "Project"); and <br />WHEREAS, three proposals for the cabinet and counter replacement were received and <br />Millstone Management's proposal in the amount of Twenty -Nine Thousand Four Hundred Eighty <br />and 00/100 dollars ($29,480.00) was the lowest and best received; and <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Chief has reviewed all proposals received and recommend that <br />Millstone Management Group be awarded the Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Chief also recommends that a ten percent (10%) contingency in an <br />amount not to exceed Two Thousand Nine Hundred Forty Eight and 00/100 dollars ($2,948) be <br />approved to cover any unforeseen conditions or changes requested by Mayfield Village. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby accepts and approves the proposal <br />of Millstone Management Group, including the contingency, in an amount not to exceed <br />$32,428.00 and the Project is hereby awarded to Millstone Management Group. <br />SECTION 2. The Council of Mayfield Village does hereby direct the Mayor and <br />President of Council to enter into a contract with Millstone Management Group for the Project. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meeting of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place <br />in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately <br />necessary for the preservation of health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio, for the reason that the replacement of the kitchen cabinets and countertop must be completed <br />in a timely manner for the fire department to be able to utilize this space more efficiently and the <br />
