RESOLUTION NO.2025-38 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT <br />WITH O'REILLY EQUIPMENT FOR UPFITTING THE F600 TRUCK <br />WITH DUMP AND SNOW REMOVAL EQUIPMENT <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $42,249.17 <br />WHEREAS, it has been deemed in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of all <br />Village residents and inhabitants to upfit a newly -purchased Ford F600 truck with the necessary <br />equipment for the Service Department to utilize the truck as a dump truck and for winter snow <br />plowing (hereinafter the "Project"); and <br />WHEREAS, three proposals for the upfitting were received and O'Reilly Equipment's <br />proposal in the amount of Forty -Two Thousand Two Hundred Forty -Nine 17/100 dollars <br />($42,249.17) was the lowest and best received; and <br />WHEREAS, the Service Director has reviewed all proposals received and recommends <br />that O'Reilly Equipment be awarded the Project. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby accepts and approves the proposal <br />of O'Reilly Equipment in the amount of $42,249.17 and the Project is hereby awarded to O'Reilly <br />Equipment. <br />SECTION 2. The Council of Mayfield Village does hereby direct the Mayor and <br />President of Council to enter into a contract with O'Reilly Equipment for the Project. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place <br />in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of health, safety and welfare of the residents of <br />Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the fully -equipped truck is needed to be placed in <br />service as quickly as possible and before the fall and winter months.
