RESOLUTION NO.2025-43 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH TIM LALLY CHEVROLET FOR THE <br />PURCHASE OF A 2025 CHEVROLET SILVERADO WITH AN EMERGENCY <br />LIGHTING UPFIT PACKAGE IN THE AMOUNT OF $54,661.53 <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield has a continuing duty to the public to provide efficient <br />and effective services to its residents; and <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department is in need of replacing an unmarked unit that is <br />traditionally used by the Executive Officer for incident response, special events, and other <br />Department needs; and <br />WHEREAS, said vehicle purchase is included in this year's annual budget and replacing <br />the unmarked unit with the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado will allow the Police Department to use the <br />new vehicle for all assignments listed above and, in addition, it can be used by Patrol for many <br />other tasks including, hauling generators during power outages, moving traffic control signs and <br />cones during a crash, and moving items needed for special events; and <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department has received two quotes for the vehicle purchase; and <br />WHEREAS, upon review of said quotes for a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado with an emergency <br />lighting upfit package included, the quote from Tim Lally Chevrolet in the amount of $64,161.53, <br />which is at the state bid price for the vehicle, is the lowest and best quote received; and <br />WHEREAS, the quote from Tim Lally Chevrolet includes a $6,000.00 trade-in for a 2015 <br />Dodge Charger and $3,500.00 for a 2020 Dodge Charger, bringing the total cost for the 2025 <br />Chevrolet Silverado to $54,661.53. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby approves and authorizes an <br />expenditure in the total amount of $54,661.53 to Tim Lally Chevrolet for the purchase of a 2025 <br />Chevrolet Silverado truck, with an emergency lighting upfit package included, for the Police <br />Department. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place <br />
