ORDINANCE NO.2025-05 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING CODIFIED ORDINANCE SECTION 1185.11(a)(4) RELATING TO <br />SIGNAGE IN LOCAL BUSINESS, SMALL OFFICE BUILDING, MOTORIST <br />SERVICE, OFFICE LABORATORY AND PRODUCTION DISTRIBUTION <br />DISTRICTS <br />WHEREAS, it has become necessary to revise Codified Ordinance Section <br />1185.11(a)(4) to include the specific distance of twenty (20) feet that Identification signs are <br />permitted to be from the back of curb; and <br />WHEREAS, Village Council deems it in the best interest of the Village and its residents <br />to amend Codified Ordinance Section 1185.11(a)(4) as set forth below. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of Mayfield Village, <br />Cuyahoga County, State of Ohio, that: <br />SECTION 1. Section 1185.11(a)(4) of the Village's Codified Ordinances as enacted <br />s h a 11 be amended to read as follows: (added language is underlined, removed language is lined <br />out) <br />(4) Identification signs. One identification sign shall be permitted not to exceed thirty- <br />two square feet in area and six Meet above grade. Such signs shall be no closer than <br />twen 20 eet as measured from the back of the curb right of is,qy. <br />SECTION 2. Any sections of the Codified Ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby and <br />herein repealed and amended accordingly. All other provisions of the Village's Codified <br />Ordinances not inconsistent herewith shall remain in full force and effect. <br />SECTION 3. The Clerk of Council is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy <br />of this Ordinance to the Codifier of Mayfield Village. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took <br />place in meeting open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />
