<br />PLANNING COMMISSION JANUARY 27, 1987 PAGE S <br />to protect that it will not be in the future; we would like general <br />landscaping to appear on this drawing that goes to the Architectural <br />Review Board; we would like the placement and screening of the dump- <br />ster to appear on this drawing that goes to the Architectural Review <br />Board; we want the Architectural Review Board to pay particular atten- <br />tion to the screening plans and the fencing immediately to the north <br />that it adequately screens the neigfibors considering the drop in <br />elevation €rom Lorain Road to the rear property line, whether the <br />fence be on a mound, the height o€ a fence, things like this, we <br />would like the Architectural Board's input; in the meantime we would <br />like to recommend that the Eresident of the homeowners association <br />meet with the Law Department and the developer to come to an under- <br />standing of what can be done to protect all' peopTe"s rights until <br />such plan can be reviewed and approved, seconded by J. Bums. <br />Mr. Gorris clarified his motion saying that he can understand the <br />concerns of the neighbors, b ut he does not think tfie Commission <br />should rush into anything. Mr. Braun advised that the owner will erect a"no exit" sign where the car went out onto Hickory Lane. <br />Mr. Dubelko advised Mr. Braun that the light on the sign must be <br />taken down and questioned why the C.E.I. lights were not being use.d, <br />advising th at the owner has to do whatever is necessary to make sure <br />that the city does not receive more complaints from the neighbors. <br />At this point Mr. Gorris amended his motion to include that the drawings <br />or plans, when they are revised, be sent to the Safety and Engineering <br />Departments for their input', advising the developer that the Architec- <br />tural Board wi1T be meeting the 18th of February, seconded by J. Burns, <br />and unanimously approved. <br />IV. NEW DEVELOPMENTS AND SUBDIVISIONS: <br />1) Mrs. Clarence F. Miller Subdivisiori and Assembly Plat. <br />This proposal is for realignment of property l:ines, permanent parcel <br />numbers 237-19-18 and 237-19-19. Both parcels are zoned Single Family <br />Residence "A". The properties meet the minimum frontage and square <br />footage req.uirements. <br />City Engineer Sehaller explained this proposal is to realign property <br />line between the two parcela sinee a portion of tfie house is over the <br />lot line. Both parcels 1 and 2 will still be conforming and set b acks <br />are conforming. E. Traczyk moved to approve the Mrs. Clarence F. <br />Miller Subdivision and assembly plat for a realignment of property <br />lines, permanent parcel numbers 237-19-18 and 237-19-19, seconded by <br />R. Bierman, and unanimously approved. <br />V. COMMITNICATIONS: <br />Letter from President of Council J. Saringer regarding charter amend- <br />ment proposed by Planning Commission advising that the Legislative <br />Committee of Council did not look favorably on the amendment. There <br />will be a meeting in the near future between the Council-as-a-Whole <br />Committee, Planning Commission, and the Zoning Board of Appeals in <br />order to have a general discussion.
