BUTTERNUT HISTORIC DISTRICT-STREET SIGNS
Sharon Fleming reported that the cost of 7 metal street signs
indicating that one Was entering the Butternut Historic District"
would cost approximately $ 321.00. The Street signs would be
12 inches by 18 inches and be made of inetal. After some discussion
of the proper location the following motion was made by Bob Perry:
" Move that the N.O.L.C. purchase seven (7) 12inch by 18 inch
metal street signs which will read `ENTERING BUTTERNUT RIDGE .
HISTORIC DISTRICT'. The first color choice is to be Brown
with whimlettering, and as a second choice Blue with white
lettering. The signs are to be placed at the intersection
of Butternut Ridge Road and the following streets; Porter;
Burns; Dover; Fitch;, Kennedy Ridge; Canterbury; and Old
Columbia Roads. The N.O.L.C. should spend no more than $30.00
per sign."
The Motion was seconded by Russ Bierman and the vote on the motion
was unanimously in favor of said motion.
NEW BUSINSESS
RE-ZONING BEHIND NEW COLUMBIA AND BUTTERNUT RIDGE ROADS
Lois Van Auken reported that Developers Diversified (Bart
Wolstein) has filed a law suit against the city of North Olmsted
in order to get the property located behind Butternut Ridge Road
and near New Columbia Re-Zoned.
In.the past the City Council has refused to Re-Zone this
proeprty.
Lois Va,n Auken suggested that the N.O.L.C. investigate the
situation and find out if the N.O.L.C. could provide the City Law
Director, MR. Michael Gareau, with any assistance or information.
The reason that the N.O.L.C. would provide such asssitance is in
or.der to protect the integrity of the Butternut Road Historic
District.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
Sharon Fleming announced that at the next scheduled meeting
(May 21st) there would be election of new Officers for the N.O.L.C.
Nominations will be accepted from the floor.
Pursuant to a motion to adjourn the Meeting Sharon Fleming adjourned
the meeting at 9:15pm.
