CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW <br />MINUTES - SEPTEMBER 16, 1987 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />ChaiYwoman Case called the meeting to order at 5s00 p.m. <br />Present: J. Britton, M. Case, D. Pattison, and B. Zergott <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner D. Conwa_y and Clerk of Commissions <br />B. Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />D. Pattison moved to approve the minutes of July 22, 1987 as submitted, <br />seconded by J. Britton, and unanimously approved. <br />III. SIGNS: <br />No items. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />No items. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />1) Brennan Au;to Body, 25044 Lorain Road <br />Exterior change to phase 2 of alteration. (Phase l and 2 originally <br />approved by Planning Commission November 16, 1983). <br />Heard by Planning Commission September 8, 1987. <br />E. Brennan presented elevations of the previously approved flat roof and <br />the new proposal which is a 4 pitch gabled roof and will be covered with <br />Certenteed C,hestnut Blend shingles. The siding will match the existing, <br />T111 painted with Sherwin Williams' Bridgewater Blue. J. Britton moved <br />to accept the changes as submitted and that the materials as shown are <br />approved, seconded by D. Pattison, and unanimously approved. <br />2) Lorain American Amoco Service Station, 27830 Lorain Road <br />Proposal to renovate front of building. (Heard by the Board of Zoning <br />Appeals September 2, 1987). Revised nlans to be presented at meeting. <br />Heard by Planning Commission September 8, 1987. <br />Mr. Cook, the owner, and Mr. Gates, the contractor, presented revised <br />plans as required by the Planning Commission and pictures of the station <br />as it is now. They explained that the brick will match the existing <br />(brick was purchased with previous addition and stored). The mansard <br />will be in a Weyerhaeuser panel 15 in Statuary Bronze with a high ribbed <br />b atten affixed to it. They will be installing all new pedestrian doors <br />and windows with bronze aluminium frames. Existing overhead doors will <br />remain. All existing wall signage will be removed, existing pole sign
