ROLL CALL; <br />Chairman Kazak called the meeting to order at 7:45 p.m. <br />Present: R, Burk, R. Galloway, J. Kazak, and D. Spoerke <br />Absent; B, Schulz <br />Also Present: B. Oring, C1erk of Commissions <br />II. REVIEW'AND CqRRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />R, Burk moved to approve the Mi.nutes of March 26, 1987 as presented, <br />seconded by R. Galloway, and unanimously approved. <br />III. NEW BUSINESS: <br />1) Angelo Butera, Permanent parcel 237-11-007, located between 23046 and <br />23000 Summerland Ave. <br />Req_uest permission to construct house on permanent parcel #237-11-007 <br />Summerland Ave, ("C" District, minimum lot 60' frontage). Hearing <br />required by Ord. 2806 (any house being built on a lot with a 50' front <br />width or less requires the approval of the Board of Building Code Appeals). <br />(Varia.nce was granted by the Board of Zoning Appeals May 6, 1987). <br />No representatives were present. The members had viewed the nremises <br />and Mr. Galloway had spokeri with the neighbors on both sides who stated <br />they had no objection to the house. Mr. Kaufman who owns the vacant <br />lot adjaeent. to this property stated that he is intending to sell that <br />lot to Nr.. Butera, A vari:ance had been granted by the Board of Zoning <br />Appeal,s, J., Kazak-moved to approve the variance for the house that has <br />been s.ubmitted for this 1ot, seconded by Mr. Burk, and unanimously <br />approved. <br />IV, OLD BUSINE.SS; <br />The Board discussed the 10 day notice which is required for a hearing in the <br />By Laws, They decided that 10 days prior to a hearing was not necessary, <br />and deci,ded that a 7 day notice would be sufficient. It was pointed out <br />that the ch arter stated that the Board could give notice as they deemed <br />appropriate (Chapter 1315.10(a)). J. Kazak moved to change the By Laws, <br />Section 2 of Article VI-I, which now reads: ITWhen Public Hearings are required, <br />the following noti,ce of hearing sha11 be give "A notice of the date, time, <br />and subject matter of tlie public hearing to be considered by the Board shall <br />be given by first class mail, postage prepaid, at least ten (10.) days prior <br />to the date of such hearing to the applicant or appellant and to the inde- <br />pendent record title owners of the following premises......." which is to <br />be changed to read "seven (7) days prior to the date....", seconded by <br />R.. Galloway, and unanimously approved. <br />Board then reviewed the proposed revisions to the existing Ordinance 83-154
