ROLL CALL: <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF BUILDING CODE APPEALS <br />MINUTES - AUGUST 27, 1987 <br />Chairman Kazak called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. <br />Present: R. Burk, R. Galloway, B. Schulz, and J. Kazak <br />Absent: D. Spoerke <br />Also Fresent: Building Commissioner Conway, Councilman R. Tallon, and <br />Clerk of Commissions B. Oring <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />R. Galloway r_moved to approve the minutes of July 23, 1987 as presented, <br />seconded by R. Burk, and unanimously approved. <br />III. COMM[JNICATIONS: <br />Heard later in meeting <br />IV. HEARINGS: <br />Chairman Kazak anounced that item number 3 would be heard first. <br />I <br />3) Angelo Butera, Permanent Parcel 237-11-07 Summerland Ave. ("C" <br />District minimum lot, 60 foot frontage). Hearing required by Ord. 2806 <br />(any house being b uilt on a lot with a 50 foot front width or less <br />requires approva.l of the Board of Building Code Appeals.). (Previous <br />approval granted May 28, 1987, but size of house has been reduced from <br />that originally approved.)(2 foot side yard variance granted by the <br />Board of Zoning Appeals May 6, 1987). <br />Chairman Kazak administered the oath to Mr. Butera and Mr. Holian, <br />contractor, who explained that the original house was 3,600 square <br />feet and the previous contractor had quoted that it would cost approx- <br />imately $74,000, but he discovered it could not be built at that cost. <br />Now they have a reliable contractor and the size has been reduced. <br />House is basically the same style. Building Commissioner Conway advised <br />that the house exceeds the minimum square footage required in that <br />district. B. Schulz moved to approve the house plans as submitted for <br />Angelo Butera, permanent parcel 237-11-07 Summerland Avenue, as submitted, <br />seconded by R. Galloway, and unanimously approved. <br />1) Minotti's Inc., 26777 Lorain Road <br />Request for a stay of Demolition Order for property located at 27100 <br />Lorain Road. Hearing required Chapter 1131.05 (a). <br />(Continued frnm meeting of July 23, 1987). <br />Building Commissioner Conway advised that the work whieh was required <br />by the Board has not been completed: pits have not been filled with
