ROLL CALL: <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF BUILDING CODE APPEALS <br />MINUTES - NOVEMBER 19, 1987 <br />Chairman Kazak called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. <br />Present: R. Burk, B. Schulz, D. Spoerke,.and J. Kazak <br />Absent: B. Galloway <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner Conwav and Clerk of Gommissions Oring <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTTON OF MINUTES: <br />R. Burk moved to approve the minutes of September 24, 1987 as written, <br />seconded b_y D. Spoerke, and unanimously apprbved. <br />III. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />No items. <br />IV. AEARINGS; <br />1) Joseph Beaune, 23013 MacBeth Ave. <br />Request for a stay of. Demolition Order for property at the above <br />address. Hearing.required Chapter 1131.05 (a). <br />Chairman Kazak administered the oath to Mr. Beauzie, his niece. Mrs. Brunt, <br />and a neighbor Mrs. Montey, 23064 Esther Dr., who explained that she had <br />received a notice, but could not find which house was in question. <br />Building Commissioner Conway explained that because Mr. Beaune was in <br />the process of remodeling his home, he had removed the furnace, hot water <br />tank, basement stairs, some electrical wires, and partition walls, the <br />Building Denartment has revoked occunancy. Mr. Beaune advised that he <br />recieved a, loan and the furnace and hot water tank have been installed, <br />and the electrical work has been comDleted. He does not have the funds <br />to complete the balance of the work. He stated that he had intended to <br />take down his garage and had removed siding from three wall, but that he <br />was not aware that he was required to have a garage and does not have <br />the funds to replace i:t at Present, The garage has been b raced and is <br />not a saf.etv hazard, so he is requesting an extension until summer to <br />re-side the garage. Mr. Conway advised that Mr. Beaune was given 60 davs <br />to do all repairs aiid the deadline would be December 22nd, but he does <br />not want Mr. Beaune to occupy the house until the basement stairs have <br />heen installed. The Board agreed that since much of the work is com- <br />nleted, that there is not reason that the deadline cannot be met. R. Burk <br />moved that the vacancy order remains in ef_fect until December 22, 1987, <br />if necessary another meeting could be called to discuss it, seconded by <br />J. Kazaky and unanimously approved. <br />V. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Biskind Development Company, 4970 Great Northerr.l Mall <br />Review of material used on the exterior of Great Northern Plaza South.
