<br />BOARD OFZONING APPEALS APRIL 1, 1987 PAGE 2 <br />2. Jack Belding, 23429 Marion Road <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request 6 foot variance for distance <br />between house and garage. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04-C. Also <br />request special permir to add to non-conforming dwelling (front set back). <br />Special permission required Ord. 62-33, Section 1231,02. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. and Mrs. Belding. Chairman Remmel stated that their <br />detached garage practically extends over the entire rear yard and the size <br />of the addition is 50% of his house. Mr. Bugala doubts that he could get a <br />car in the garage after the addition is constructed. Mr. Belding disagreed <br />stati.ng that he has a 16 foot door and would have no.problem. Mr. Remmel <br />suggested' thaf a 12 foot addition would be ample and no var•iance would be <br />requiredi:, Mr: B'eldin-g d'oesnot believe that a 12 foot room, would beadeq,uate. <br />C. Remmel mo,ved to grant the variance, secondedby R. Bugala. Roll eall on_ <br />motion: Remmel, Bugala, Gomersall, and HeTon, No. Motion faile&tq. pass. <br />Variance deniedF. C. Remmel moved to grant the- special pe,rmit, second'ed liy <br />R. B'ugala;, and unanimousl_y appro,ved. Special perm?it gr•anteda.. <br />3. Kelly Perry, 5685 Fitch Rd. <br />Request special permit to add to non-conforming dwelling (front set back). <br />Special permission required by Ord. 62-33, Section 1231.02. Speeial permit <br />for first phase of project granted June 6, 1984). <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. Perry. Board had no problems with the proposal. <br />J. Helon moved to grant the special permit to add to non-conforming dwel- <br />ling for Kelly Perry at 5685 Fitch Road, seconded by R. Gomersall, and <br />unanimously approved. Special permit granted. <br />4. D'. 0. Summers, 28210 Lorain Road <br />Request for variance (1133,13). Request variance for loeation of poTe sign <br />(.already erected). Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1221.05. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. J. Schneider, Simon Sign Gompany, and:hlr. Goldlierg, <br />the owner. Mr. Schneider explained that the sign was.installed on the <br />existing base and since the sign was shown on the building plans he believed <br />that it had been approved. He was unaware that it was not conforming and <br />since the employee who normally picked up their permits had passed away, <br />he did not know that the permit had not been issued. The Board believes <br />that the sign contractor should know the codes when they do business in <br />North 0lmsted, R. Bugala moved to grant the variance for the location of <br />the pole sign for D. 0. Summers, seconded by R. Gomersall. Roll call on <br />motion: Bugala, Gomersall, Helon, and Remmel, No. Motion failed to pass. <br />Variance denied. <br />5. Eyeglass Factory, 25766 Lorain Road <br />Request special permit to use non-conforming sign (building permit issued <br />and sigri installed). Special permission required Ord. 62-33, Section 1231.02. <br />r <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath ' <br />was administered to Mr. Dumanski, Boyer Sign Coinpany, who explained that. <br />after the permit was issued, thev erected the sign on the existing vole and <br />then were advised that the sign Was non-conforming. -Mr. Dumanski stated
