BOYER, P.E. <br />RE: IJORTH OLMSTED WESTEND WATERLINE IMPROVEMENTS <br />This office offers the follawing comments to the Planning Commission <br />concerns regarding water supply to the west end of the City: <br />Cook-Barton Road Water Cine <br />The distribution water line along Cook Road will connect the sunnlv water <br />main located west of Fitch Road and the Barton Road tvater line which is <br />sung7ied by the Lorain Road supply water main. ? <br />This project includes the installation of 7560 l.f. of 16" ivatermain on <br />Cook Road from the connection vrhich is approximately 700 feet west of <br />Timber Lane to Qarton Road, and the installation of 900 l.f, of .12" water <br />main from Cook Road north to the connection. <br />The proj.ect ?%rill be coMpleted bv. December 31, 1989. An imolementation <br />schedule is attached for vour perusual. <br />Crown-Sprague lJater Supply1lain (Section 1, Part 4-B) <br />The project includes construction of a 42" water main-in Porter Road from <br />Center Ridge Road to Mill Road, a 36" water main in Porter Road from F9i11 <br />Road to Lorain Road and a-24" water main in Mill Road to Dover Center Road <br />to connect wi th the Dover Center Tower. The C1 eve7 and tr'ater Department <br />is funding 100°6 of this project. <br />Crown-Sprague - Section 4-B construction will begin in August, 1938 and <br />completed in June, 1989. <br />Crown-Sprague-Section 4-A, located in the City of ldestlake wil.l be completed <br />in Fall, 1989. " <br />With the completion of these:waterlines, the City of Worth Olmsted will have <br />increased water suppl_y and water pressure.: The Industrial Park requires 40 gpm for <br />domestic-water consumption and 1000 gpm for.fire protection. The Cook-Barton Road <br />will sunnly 2000 gpm to the Industrial Park. The Crown 'Sprague water main rvill <br />increase water pressu.re to tiie residents in the west end. During peak water-con- <br />sumption months, the Tower will provide the water pressure.required for this ar.ea. . <br />I trust these comments address the water pressure concerns for the Planning <br />Commission: . .
