?
PLAPINING COMMISSION AUGUST 2, 1988 PAGE 3
height restriction. Mr. Dubelko stated that the ordinance could be worded
in such a way to allow lower building to be placed in the required 250 foot
set back. Regarding the restrictions of no windows adjacent to the residen-
tial property, it was clarified that originally the amendment was to read
"no windows where practical", the Conunssion had intended this to be in a
situation where the end of the building was adjacent to residential property,
specifically on a long, narrow lot. Mr. Dubelko stated that this should
have read "where practical due to lot configuration or building configuration".
It was sugglested that there could be some kind of limitation based on a
percentage of window area or that some language could be introduced whereby
Planning Commission could limit the number of windows facino res-dential
propertye Mr. Thomas suggested that the ordinance be tabled until the next
meeting when the Commission will meet at 7:00 p.m. to discuss these issues.
Mr. Betts requested that Mr. Dubelko give some thought to the language to
be used to clarify these points. The developer and the homeowners were in-
vited to attend, but they would not be asked to comment at the pre-meeting.
Mr. Skoulis and Mr. Carlisle reiterated some of their previous statements
and Mr. Dubelko pointed out that with the parking and buffers that are required
for a four story building, it would be doubtful that any setback could be less
than 150 feet. J. Thomas moved to table the discussion of Ord. 88-75 until
7:00 p.m. Spetember 13th, seconded by B. Gorris, and unanimously approved.
IX. ADJOURNMENT:
B.
