PLANNING COMMISSION APRIL 25, 1989 PAGE 4
2) Romp Realty Company Assembly Plat
The proposal.is to combine sublot numbers 3 and 4 of the Romp Brothers
Development, Inc Subidivision (original parcel numbers 231-1-1, 7, 8)
into one (1) parcel, which is the site of the proposed Romp Plaza
approved by Planning Commission on December 27, 1988 in accordance with
a court ordera The location is the southeast corner area of Lorain
and Columbia Roads (south of Danny Boys Farm Market), and the proposal
includes the vacation of a portion of an existing sanitary sewer ease-
ment and the granting of a new sanitary sewer easement.
Chairman Thomas read the proposal and asked the Law Director what the
Commission would be required to do as far as the court order is con-
cerned. Mr. Gareau stated that the court did not address the assembly
of the property, but it was di€fieult to build over property lines and
it was in the best.interest of the eity to have one pareel. He further
explained that since the building is being constructe.d?eve,r the existing
sanitary sewer easement, it was agreed that this reloeation would be
shown on the plat and not be a legal description. Mr. Morgan q_uestioned
the cross parking from one sublot to another, and believed that there
should be some type of agreement. The building proposal was previously
approved with the parking as shown and Mr. Gareau stated that during
the litagation it was determined that there was ample parking on the
site. Two unidentified residents, speaking from the floor, questioned the
relocation of the sewer and Mr. Cesen explained the proposal to them
privately. Couneilman McKay stated that they were concerned that the
drainage would go toward their property and they were assured that it
would go to Columbia Road. J. Thomas moved to approve the assembly of
sublots number 3 and 4 of the Romp Brothers Development into one parcel
subject to the approval and review of the Engineering Department and
including the relocation of an existing sanitary sewer easement and the
granting of a new sanitary sewer easement, seconded by T. Morgan, and
unanimously approved.
3) Dixon Subdivision for the City of North Olmsted.
The proposal is to subdivide permanent parcel number 234-6-5, located on
the southwest side of Barton Road, southeast of Bradley Road, into two
(2) sublots. Zoning is "B" Residence, Single, and both proposed sublots
conform to the Zoning Code.
Chairman Thomas read the request. Mr. Cesen explained that this is city
owned property and Council has voted to sell of sublot 1 and retain
sublot 2. The Commission has no problem with the proposal. T. Morgan
moved to approve the Dixon. subdivision for the City of North Olmsted
to subdivide permanent parcel number 234-6-5 located on the southwest
side of Barton.Road, southeast of Bradley Road, into two (2) sublots,
seconded by M. Betts. Roll call on motion: Morgan, Betts, Bowen,
Traczyk, and Thomas, yes. Mr. Bierman abstained.
V. COMMIJNICATIONS :
No items.
VI.
