PLANNING COMMISSION APRIL 25, 1989 PAGE 4 <br />2) Romp Realty Company Assembly Plat <br />The proposal.is to combine sublot numbers 3 and 4 of the Romp Brothers <br />Development, Inc Subidivision (original parcel numbers 231-1-1, 7, 8) <br />into one (1) parcel, which is the site of the proposed Romp Plaza <br />approved by Planning Commission on December 27, 1988 in accordance with <br />a court ordera The location is the southeast corner area of Lorain <br />and Columbia Roads (south of Danny Boys Farm Market), and the proposal <br />includes the vacation of a portion of an existing sanitary sewer ease- <br />ment and the granting of a new sanitary sewer easement. <br />Chairman Thomas read the proposal and asked the Law Director what the <br />Commission would be required to do as far as the court order is con- <br />cerned. Mr. Gareau stated that the court did not address the assembly <br />of the property, but it was di€fieult to build over property lines and <br />it was in the best.interest of the eity to have one pareel. He further <br />explained that since the building is being constructe.d?eve,r the existing <br />sanitary sewer easement, it was agreed that this reloeation would be <br />shown on the plat and not be a legal description. Mr. Morgan q_uestioned <br />the cross parking from one sublot to another, and believed that there <br />should be some type of agreement. The building proposal was previously <br />approved with the parking as shown and Mr. Gareau stated that during <br />the litagation it was determined that there was ample parking on the <br />site. Two unidentified residents, speaking from the floor, questioned the <br />relocation of the sewer and Mr. Cesen explained the proposal to them <br />privately. Couneilman McKay stated that they were concerned that the <br />drainage would go toward their property and they were assured that it <br />would go to Columbia Road. J. Thomas moved to approve the assembly of <br />sublots number 3 and 4 of the Romp Brothers Development into one parcel <br />subject to the approval and review of the Engineering Department and <br />including the relocation of an existing sanitary sewer easement and the <br />granting of a new sanitary sewer easement, seconded by T. Morgan, and <br />unanimously approved. <br />3) Dixon Subdivision for the City of North Olmsted. <br />The proposal is to subdivide permanent parcel number 234-6-5, located on <br />the southwest side of Barton Road, southeast of Bradley Road, into two <br />(2) sublots. Zoning is "B" Residence, Single, and both proposed sublots <br />conform to the Zoning Code. <br />Chairman Thomas read the request. Mr. Cesen explained that this is city <br />owned property and Council has voted to sell of sublot 1 and retain <br />sublot 2. The Commission has no problem with the proposal. T. Morgan <br />moved to approve the Dixon. subdivision for the City of North Olmsted <br />to subdivide permanent parcel number 234-6-5 located on the southwest <br />side of Barton.Road, southeast of Bradley Road, into two (2) sublots, <br />seconded by M. Betts. Roll call on motion: Morgan, Betts, Bowen, <br />Traczyk, and Thomas, yes. Mr. Bierman abstained. <br />V. COMMIJNICATIONS : <br />No items. <br />VI.
