_ .
?
J
PLANNING COMMISSION JULY 27, 1989 PAGE 3
advised that a small rear portion of the Lexus parcel is presently
zoned residential, however, the Commission decided that it would be to the
City's advantage to assemble these parcels. B. Gorris moved to subdivide
current permanent parcels 232-6-2, 232-6-3, 232-6=4, 232-6-5, and 232-6-6
and we assemble them into 2 parcels, the parcel on the east approximating
3.22 acres, the parcel on the west approximating 3.28 acres, the parcel on
the west is currently occupied by North Olmsted Nissan and the parcel on
the east is the proposed site of rietro Lexus dealership, seconded by
R. Bierman, and unanimously approved.
Chairman Thomas advised that the next two proposals would be heard together.
4) Ameritrust, Great Northern Shopping Center (west of Tony Roma's Plaza).
Proposal to install drive up automatic teller machine.
5) Ameritrust, 23420 Lorain Road
. Proposal to install drive up automatic teller machine.
It was noted that item 4 on .Ghe agenda should read (east of Tony Roma's Plaza).
Mr. Klefmann, contractor, explained that the installation at Great Northern
would require removing one of the island kiosks in order to install a drive
up ATM machine with an enclosure; the existing canopy will not be altered;
and there will be no change to the traffic pattern. Both of these units
are prefabricated and his firm merely prepares the site, and installs.the
electrical work. The installation at Clague and Lorain will necessitate
eliminating an existing drive up teller window.and adding a 3 foot projection
(to match the existing wall) in order to install a through the wall machine.
Lights will be installed above the machine which is to the west.and abuts
commercial property. The traffic pattern will not be changed and the
machines inside the building will remain. Mr. Morgan pointed out that this
could increase the traffic.in a very congested area, but Mr. Bowen stated
that this machine would be safer and he did not believe that traffic would
be increased. Mr. Gorris agreed. T. Piorgan moved that the Ameritrust
proposal to install a drive up automatic, teller machine at Great Northern
Shopping Center be approved as submitted, seconded by M. Betts, and unani-
mously approved. T. Morgan moved that the Ameritrust proposal to install a
drive up automatic teller machine at 23420 Lorain Road be approved as submitted,
seconded by J. Thomas, and unanimously approved.
IV. NEW DEVELOPMENTS AND SUBDIVISIONS:
1) Great Northern Properties Company Lot Split.
The proposal is to subdivide sublot no. 2 of the Great Northern Properties
Company Lot Split (approved by Planning Commission October 11, 1988) into
two (2) sublots, the new lot fronting on the east side of Great Northern
Boulevard between Country Club Boulevard and Brookpark Road. Zoning is
Mixed Use for both sublots. .
M. Aiize, representing Biskind Development Company, explained that this parcel
will be the site of the proposed restaurant which was previously approved
as a use in this development by Council last month, and the creation of this
lot is primarily for tax purposes. Building Commissioner Conway advised
that there is nothing in the Mixed Use District restrictions that says there
cannot be several parcels to make up the required 10 or 35 acres for a
