Charles Boguski, 27593 Laurell Lane . <br />Request for variance (1123012)o Request 92 square foot variance, 6 foot 8 inch <br />height variance and location variance for:combination tool shed/playhouse. <br />Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.02-(d)-1. <br />Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />-administered to Mr: and A1rsc Boguski, and neighbors.; I-Bogonos; Mrs.- Straight' and her son, M. atraight, Mr._ and Mrs,. Bukovac, and Mr, Ruggerio. Mr. Boguski <br />explained that he needs more.sforage room than t1ie::100 square feet allowed-.for <br />a shed since he has a lot of _'equipmen.t which he. needs ..to maintain his large <br />yard. He pointed out that the shed portion of thesfructure.is.only.*slightly. <br />over 8 teet high, (the play'house is over the„shed) and he pre.fers.t.o have an elevated playhouseo 'He further explained.that since hi"s lot is cleep and the <br />neighbor'.s to-the rear is shorter', the'location variance will.ke.ep tlie„structure <br />further away from.the rieighbors property.and-also. if he-,put tfie.-shed -back further <br />: he would have to prune his.tre'es more,. He-advised th'at.his.garage area-.plus . <br />the area_of this shed on_ly totals 750 square:feet- which- is_ allowed.bythe ordi- <br />nance_for garage•area,.and also the area:wr.ere it is planned.is.well screened <br />by trees-and he will plant evergreens behind.it:.'Mrs.'.Straight,.whose* property <br />is dire.ctly behind, presented a plan showing where her house-was-located in <br />relat ion. to. this -s tructure;. and advised that ' tliere was only ' 49 .f eet f rom her house to the lot lineo Mr: Ruggerio, a neighbor 'o*f -Mrs: Str.aigh.t's;-.stated' tfiat he has-no real obj ect.ion, but b'elieves that: the struc.ture-.sliould be -screened <br />from Mrs. Straight's pro.perty. N:r._.Straight pointed.out that.there.are.power <br />lines in the back and he believes'this should be built closer to Mr. Bo.guski's <br />house-and further - away f rom fiis"mo.ther!s:The otHer;neighbors.Had-no.objection, <br />stating the property'was well maintained, and.,.that. the-Bogusk?i°s would-riot.let <br />the structure become an eyeso'r,e. Councilman.Tallon; alsoa_neighbor, was sworn in at this time and stated..that he could riotv.see the she:d from where,he; lives, <br />but agrees that the Boguskies take. excellent care of. the,ir.property and- that <br />he has checked the plans and this would be a sound structure. He a],s.o sugge.sted <br />the additional screenirtg be planted. Mr. Bugala is concerned since this"has <br />the height of a garage, but is being constructed under the codes of a shed. <br />He has no objection to the location, Mrs. Boguski pointed.out that they could <br />build.two structures, a conforming shed.and a separate playhouse since there <br />is notliing in the codes about.playhouses. Mr. Bugala suggested.that this re- <br />quest could be continued until the next meeting.if Mr. Boguski.would like to <br />scale it down. After some discussion, Mr: Boguski agreed to-continue the re- <br />quest until the February meeting. R. Bugala.moved to delay th.is re.quest _for <br />Mr. Boguski until the February meeting, seconded by T. Restifo, and unanimously <br />approved. Request continued. <br />5. Metro Lexus Dealership, 28436 Lorain Road <br />RequeSt for variance (1123.12)o Request 35 square foot area for pole sign <br />(supports exceed 25% of face of sign and 1 foot diameter maximum. Violation <br />of Ord. 87-93, Section 1163.06(f)-4.and request variance to illuminate poles <br />by.a flood light. Violation.of Ord, 87-93, Section 1163.09-(c). <br />Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board.
