CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />MINUTES - MAY 3, 1989 <br />Chairman Bugala called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Present: R. Gomersall, B. Grace, J. Helon, and R. Bugala <br />Absent; T. Restifo <br />Also Present: Law Director M. Gareau, Building Commissioner D. Conway; and <br />Clerk of Commissions B. Oring. <br />In the minutes of April 5th, the motion in item 3, Mr. Gomersall's initial <br />should be R, not J as stated. J. Helon moved to approve the minutes of <br />April 5, 1989 as amended with the one correction, seconded by R. Gomersall, <br />and unanimously approved. <br />1. Home Centers, Inc. located to the rear of Bob Evans Restaurant at 25853 Lorain Rd. <br />Chairman Bugala requested."thatthis item be delayed until some addition infor- <br />mation which was requested by the Law Director be obtained. <br />2. James P. Radtke, 4518 Silverdale Road <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 6 foot variance for distance between <br />house and garage. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.02-(c)1. <br />Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. Radtke. Board had no problem with this request, but <br />Mr. Radtke was advised that fire rated dry wall must be installed on the front <br />and south side of the garage. R. Gomersall moved to grant the request for <br />Mr. James P. Radtke,4518 Silverdale Road for the 6 foot variance for the <br />distance between the house and garage, violation of Ord. 87-93, Section <br />1135.02-(c)1 with the stipulation that Air. Radtke install fire retardant dry <br />wall on the front and side wall of the garage adjacent to the house, seconded <br />by J. Helon, and unanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />3. R. J. Hosier, 5918 Porter Road <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 2 foot side yard variance to construct <br />new garage. (Existing non-conforming garage to be demolished). Violation of <br />Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.02(c)-1. <br />Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. Hosier. Board had no objection to this request. B. Grace <br />moved to grant the request of Mr. R. J. Hosier, 5918 Porter Road for the 2 <br />foot side yard variance to construct a new garage (existing non-conforming <br />garage to be demolished): violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.02(c)-1, <br />seconded by R. Gomersall, and unanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />4. Mr. and Mrs. John Weidman, 5157 Park Lane <br />Request for variance (1123.120. Request 9 foot rear yard variance for patio <br />enclosure. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.08(a). <br />Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was . <br />administered to Mr. and PZrs. Weideman and Mr. Wagner, contractor. The members <br />had no objection to the request. J. Helon moved to grant the request for <br />P1r. and r4rs. J. Weideman, 5157 Park Lane for a 9 foot rear yard variance for <br />a patio enclosure. Violation of-Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.08(a), seconded by <br />B. Grace, and unanimously approved. Variance granted. `
