3-
, ? ?.., ? _
only one waste removal compan,y were specified in every tena.nt's
lease agreement.
Additiona,l development and increased use can onl,y make these
situations worse.
Odors emanating from the waste disposal areas of Rini's, The
Spaghetti Compan,y, andthe Chinese Palace are extremel,y
offensive. These areas abut the rear lot lines of the homes
on Flehart,y Rd.. These businesses, and all others like them,
should be reo, uired to wash down their rear areas dail,y and
put their wastes in air-tight, vermin-proof containers.
Conclusion:
It is eas,y to understand thdt any businessman wants to maximize
the mone,y-making potential of his comriercial properties. However,
it is time to recognize that this shopping center is alread,y
full,y developed within the confines it occupys. An,y additions
to it would create even more problems than it does already
for its neighborhood, the cit,y, and the public in general.
The develoDer should seek new properties for his nlans and turn
his attention towards solving the problems his previous efforts
on this site have created.
Associated Questions:
Considering the erosion of propert,y values on Flehart,y Rd.
caused b,y the surroun3irig commercial interests, does the Planning
Commission intend to re-zone Fleharty Rd. to commercial use???
If so, when??? .
If not, will the Planning Commission sunport and preserve the
residential character of Flehart,y Rd. by barring further commer-
cial development around it ??? .
4L
Home Owners and Residents of Fleharty Rd., North Olmsted
