BUILDING DEPAR'IlKIIVT REQUESTS:
1) Reserve Electrical Construction, 30692 Lorain Road
Proposai to construct storage bui:lding for existing office
building.
Heard by the Architectural Review Board July 18, 1990.
Chairman Thomas pointed out that the Architectural .Board had
suggested a.change in the shingles and that Mr. Burk, after having
agreed to landbank two parking spaces in the front, has decided to
landbank only one space. Mr. Burk explained ttiat one of the spaces
behind the building would not be usable, leaving him only 11
spaces, and if two more were removed, he was concerned that there
would not be enough spaces. He pointed out that there was a 6 foot
strip adjacent to the one space that is going to be landscaped, so
they would have an 15 foot landscape area. Mr. Bierman pointed out
that there is a grassy area adjacent to the dumpster where another
space could be installed. It was determined that this area should
be left tmpaved in order to save a.walnut tree. Mr. Burk explained
that since the dumpster had to be screened, he relocated it next to
the building and away from the residences. The forester's report
stated that he had spoken witfi Mr. Zergott, and they decided to add
a 2 to 22 inch Skyline Locust tree in the planting area. Mr. Burk
was not aware of this, but he has no problem with`adding the tree.
Mr. Thomas would like Mr. Burk to talk with the forester about
protecting the trees during .construction. J. Thomas moved to
approve the proposal to construct a storage building for Reserve
Electrical Construction noting that Mr. Burk will be landbanking
-one parking space at the front of the building and will be
consulting with the forester concern.ing protecting the tree during

1 -
