They presented a rendering of the addition and gointed out that only <br />a small portion of the building would be visible from Mill Road because of the <br />board on board fence. Building Conunissioner Conway advised that this proposal <br />would have to go to the Board of Zoning Appeals for a variance for parking and <br />set back since it had been determined by the Law Department that Mill Road was <br />not a side street and a special permit to add to a non-conforming.building. He <br />explained that this is not a.true retail building, since automobiles will be <br />stored in the building. Members are concerned that a different type of <br />business could take over this building, hut it was decided that any new <br />business would have to make renovations, thus would have to come before the <br />Commission. Mr. Conway explained that since there is parking in the building, <br />they would not require additional parking for the building; the actual rnunber <br />of parking spaces are not shown, but Mr. Ligitt stated there would be about <br />12.
