" <br />Mr. Gomersall advised that the Building Commissioner has advised that there is <br />a situation in the city where there are outside stairwells with outside drains <br />tied into the sanitary sewer. Since it would be very expensive to re-route the <br />drain as required by the E.P.A., it has been suggested that the owners put in <br />an awning or enclosure over the stairwell to keep storm water out of these <br />drains. He wotil.d like a blanket variance to cover any variances that might be <br />required. Mr. Gomersall asked Mr. Gareau how this could be handled. Mr. Gareau <br />stated that it would be better to include a section in the code to cover this. <br />Mr. Conway stated that he only wants to address the structures which are <br />existing, he does want to allow this for new construction. Mr. Gareau believed <br />this should be incorporated into the new zoning codes, rather than a blanket <br />variance for a structure in the rear yard. Mr. Gareau will work with the <br />Building Commissioner on the code section. <br />The Board decided tha.t they would not meet on July 3rd. They would change the <br />meeting Lmtil July 10, 1991. <br />Mr. Gomersall will not be present at the next meeting. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m. <br />5
