Violations of Ord. 87-93, <br />Sections 1135.08(b) and 1135.07. Also request 9 foot variance for distance <br />between proposed addition and garage. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section <br />1135.02(c). Also request special permit to add to non=conforming dwelling. <br />Special permission required Ord. 87-93, Section 1165.02 <br />Vice Chairman Restifo called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. Giersz who explained that he would like to put an <br />addition on the back corner of the house to make an existing room bigger. Mr. <br />Grace stated that he would also need the fire rating. E. Gallagher moved to <br />grant the request for a 12.5 foot rear yard variance and a 4 inch side yard <br />variance to construct an addition and also a 9 foot variance for distance <br />between proposed addition and garage and a special permit to add to a non- <br />conforming dwelling for Daniel A. Giersz, 5091 Andrus Avenue, wi.th the <br />condition that the fire rating be installed as mentioned, seconded B. Grace, <br />and unanimously approved. Variances and special perniit granted. <br />5. Gilbert K. Sievers, 5028 Hampton Drive. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 65 sq. ft. variance and 1/2 foot <br />height variance for shed. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.02-(d)-2. <br />Vice Chairman Restifo called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. Sievers who explained that he needs more room for <br />storage. He presented pictures of how the shed will be landscaped. It was <br />also noted that his property abutted Bradley Woods. Members had no problems. <br />B. Grace moved to grant the request for a 65 square foot variance and 1/2 foot <br />height variance for a shed, seconded by E. Gallagher, and unanimously approved. <br />Variances granted. <br />6. Office Warehouse. 4706 Great Northern Blvd. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 18 foot variance for encroachment of <br />loading dock in 50 foot setback. Violation of Ord. 87- 93, Section 1139.05. <br />Also, request variance for 10 parking spaces (note: originally center was short <br />by 17 spaces, but parking requirements have been reduced because of storage <br />area of new business, parking will be less non-conforming). Violation of Ord. <br />87-93, Section 1161.05(a). (Request reduced from that denied 4/3/91). <br />Vice-Chairman Restifo called a11 interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was admini.stered to Mr. Mongello, architect, Mro Brown, owner, Mr.McKee, <br />manager, and neighbors, Mr. Ra.tino, Mr. and Mrs. Hodorowski, Mrs. Weaver and <br />Mr. and Mrs. Blagg. Mr. Mongello explained that Planning Commission would <br />approve the truck dock if a fence were installed, and they had suggested that a <br />variance be granted with the provision that a fence be installed from the <br />south end of the building to the Mattress Warehouse store. Mr. Brown advised <br />that he has decided to take the fence all the way to end of his building where <br />Entenmann's is located in order to shield all the adjacent neighbors. Mr. McKee <br />explained that he has now talked to both Kappas and Karris and B.F.I. (trash <br />hauling companies) who have changed their pick up until after 8:00 a.m., <br />replaced some dlunpsters and installed lids on others. He further advised that <br />the old chain link fence would be taken down and presented pictures of the <br />board on board fence which is to replace it. Mrs. Blagg was concerned because <br />the old fence was never maintained and was frequently pushed into back yards. <br />2
