Morgan, A. Skoulis, J. Thomas, and B. Gorris <br />Mr. Bowen arrived 7:25 p.m. x <br />Absent: L. Orlowski, and R. Tallon. <br />A1so Present: Assistant Law Director Dubelko, Councilman Lind, City Engineer <br />Deichmann, Building Commissioner Conway, and Clerk of Commissions <br />Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />The review of the minutes of March 10, 1992 were deferred until the next <br />meeting. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTNIIINT REQUESTS : <br />No items. <br />N. NEW DEVELOPMIINTS AND SUBDIVISIONS: <br />No items. <br />V. COMM[TNICATIONS : <br />Information from County Planning had been sent prior to the meeting. <br />VI. COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />No items. <br />VII. NEW BUSINESS: <br />No items. <br />VIII. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Continuing Study of the North Olmsted Master Plan.: <br />r <br />Mr. Thomas Schultz, County Planning Commission (C.P.C), reviewed previous <br />discussions. Tonight's discussion will cover the Commercial Industrial Market <br />Inventory and Analysis and a discussion of potential focus areas. April's <br />discussion will cover public facilities and the infrastructure (water., sewers, <br />highways, and streets, etco) along with a needs assessment of these facilities. <br />If all the focus areas are not decided on this evening, they will 1e completed by <br />next month. The alternative development .plans should be discussed in May. The <br />final development plan will be ready by June, in time for the charter deadline, <br />and in August the implementation strategy will be completed. As requested at the <br />last meeting, he explained the comparison between the ratio of single family <br />units to multifamily units in North Olmsted to nearby comrmlnities. He clarified <br />that the ratio was indicated by Units in a building, not just the building, but <br />this study did not consider the amount of land area involved. Out of the nine <br />comrm,n;ties compared, North Olmsted had the fourth highest percentage of single <br />family units. He clarified that the single family attached would mean two or more <br />dwellings that share a party wall. Olmsted Township is lmique in tha.t 30% of its <br />housing are mobile home units. If compared to Cuyahoga County which has 61.6% of <br />tinits are single family and 36.5% are multifamily, significantly higher than
