be reorganized and referenced to make it worka.ble. Mr. Thomas commented that the
plan indicated that in some areas the city had been remiss, and this could weaken
the city's position. Mr. Gorris summarized that the Commission wanted CPC to
re-organize the master plan, by taking the Commissions original goals, then
listing their recommendations, followed by the back up for these recommendations
which shoUld be referenced where deemed appropriate, and finally explaining how
to implement these recommendations. Mr. Dubelko suggested that Mra Gorris write
to CPC stating the Commission's concerns and asking them to address or defend
them since they are the e.xperts and there mi.ght be a reason for using this
format. This letter should list a71 of the Commission's concerns with the
organization of the master plan; the inclusion of what appears to be extraneous
data, about implementing the plan, as well as some of the conclusions that the
city is not doing its job. He further stated that if the extraneous information
is what they need to make their recommendations, he would not tell them to put it
in an appendix, but he would raise the concerns to make sure the recommendations
are clear, that is the botton line. Mr. Thomas has a concern that future Planning
Cornnissions would not be able to follow this plan. Mr. Gorris will draft a letter
and present it to the members for their comnents prior-to sending it to Cuyahoga
County Planning Commission.
IX. Thoma.s, and
unanir,iously approved.
The rmeting was adjourned 10:00 p.m.
B. Gorris, Chairman B. Oririg, Cr-e`rlc of Commissions
Cr5. - . - . -
