ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Burk called the meting to order at 7:35 p.m. <br />Present: R. Burk, J. Kazak, W. Piar and D. Spoerke <br />Also Present: Chief Building Inspector Sanker and Clerk of Commissions Oringe <br />IIe REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />D. Spoerke moved to approve the minutes of June 24, 1993, seconded by J. <br />Kazak, and unanimously approved. <br />IIIe COMMUNICATIONS: <br />A thank you note was received from Mr. Schulz' familya Mr. Burk and Mra Kazak <br />advised that they ha.d sent flowers to the funeral but there had not been time <br />to conicact all the members. <br />IV. HEARINGS: <br />1) Moe Abed Rabbo, 6270 Surrey Drive. <br />Request 8 foot variance for height of satellite dish antenna (already <br />installed). Violation of Ord. 87-85, Section 1367.07. Hearing also required <br />because of objections received from adjacent residents as prescribed under Ord. <br />87-85, Sectian 1367.02. <br />Continued from meeting of June 24, 1993 to consider different location. <br />The members discussed the new location of the dish which is not on the roof, <br />but is in the ba.ck yard next to the house. Mr. Kazak stated that he saw no <br />proble?n with the location, but noted that they would still need a height <br />variance since it is an an 18 foot pole. It was clarified that it would not be <br />seen fran the street. The installation will have to be grounded. The <br />contractor, Mr. Robart, and neighbors, Mrs. Kazak and Mr. Doran were called <br />into the roan and the oath was administered. Mr. Robart stated that the dish is <br />mounted in a small recess where the deck and ad.d:ition meet, but it will not be <br />attached to the house. The concrete will be 3 to 4 feet deep, 3-%2 inch schedule <br />40 pipe will be installed, and the height will be about the same as previously <br />reqtiested. He maintained that there was just one open area in the trees where <br />the signal could get through. He doubtecl that it would be seen from the street. <br />He assured Mr. Kazak that the -dish will not hit the house. Chief Building <br />Inspector Sanker cautioned that they must make sure there are no down spouts or <br />drain tiles in the area. Mr. Robart did-not believe there were either in that <br />location and clarified for Mr. Piar that the excavation would be about 1 foot <br />frcxnn the house. Mr. Kazak noted that no drain tiles had been installed for the <br />addition. Mr. Robart agreed that all construction codes will be met and he will <br />call for inspections. W. Piar moved to grant a variance for Moe Abecl Rabbo, <br />62770 Surrey, for the height of the satellite dish antenna at the new location <br />with the condition that they have the installation inspected, seconded by D. <br />Spoerke. Roll call on motion: Piar, Spoerke, and Burk, yes. Mr.. Kazak, <br />abstainede Motion carried. Mr. Sanker advised that A1r. Robart that he would <br />waive the 24 hour notice prior to inspection. Mr. Robart stated that they would <br />try to install this on Monday. <br />1
