He explained that the sign will be on the Ice Cream stand property <br />owned by Mrs. Oldack and will be situa.ted 14 feet off Barton Road and 11 feet <br />from Lorain Road just about where the white post is located near the benches. He <br />listed several signs located on Lorain Road where the actual businesses are on <br />the same property but are set quite a way back. He clarified that the sign is 3 <br />foot by 5 foot and will be set on 2 foot high posts. Mr. Koberna stated that the <br />proposal submitted to them did not show the posts and was not clear, he had <br />wondered if a 3 foot sign would be seen. Mr. Gomersall believed that the ice <br />cream stand was going to be relocated. Mrs. Oldack, the owner, was present and <br />advised that it would be open. Mr. Grendell stated that the sign would not hinder <br />the customers driving in, nor would it hinder visibility at the corner. He <br />explained that they would like the sign for a year with a possible extension of <br />time depending on sales. Mr. Gomersall advised that the board could only grant it <br />for a year and he would have to re-apply if they wanted it longer. W. Purper <br />moved to grant the request of Hennie Homes, 30487 Lorain Road for variances to <br />install a real estate sign at a location other than the property involved; a <br />variance to locate sign in the prohibited 35 foot triangular area; a 1 foot <br />variance for location of the sign from the side property line; and a 4 foot <br />variance.for location from the front property line, approval is for ane year only <br />and approval from property owner has been received, seconded by T. Koberna. Roll <br />call an motion: Purper, Koberna, Maloney and Gomersall, yes. Slezak, 5583 Pheasants Walk <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request .16 foot side yard variance and 17.67 <br />rear yard variance to construct in-law suite. Violations of Ord. 90-125, Sections <br />1135.09 and 1135.08. <br />Chairman Gomersall called interested parties before the board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. Slezak who presented revised drawings. He explained that his <br />mother-in-law passed away and they would like to construct an in-law suite for <br />his father-in-law with a living room, bedroom, dinette, and closet. He has talked <br />to a11 but two of his neighbors and they had no problem with it. The neighbor who <br />is the closest to the addition had advised the members that he had no objection <br />to the addition. The changes on the revised print do not effect the variances. He <br />merely added a bay window to match an existing window and the deck was widened <br />somewhat. The neighbors whom he had not contacted were notified and are not in <br />attendance. Councilman Nashar was sworn in at this time and advised that he <br />looked at the property and he noted that this is only a 2 inch variance an the <br />side. T. Koberna moved to grant the request for Mr. David G. Slezak, 5583 <br />Pheasants Walk for a.16 foot side yard variance and a 17.67 rear yard variance <br />to construct an in-law suite, seconded by J.
