He elaborated, if the <br />business is relocated, and temporary banner signs are used, it would have to come back before tlus <br />board for review. Ms. Utt u.nderstood this requirement. The board had no problem with this <br />proposal. W. Purper moved to graut The Basket and Crift Shop, 30700 Lorain Road, a variance for a temporary banner sign. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1163.12. The motion was seconded by <br />J. Maloney aud unauimously approved. Variance granted. <br />12. Hobby's Etc., 23345 Lorain Road <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request permission to install two (2) temporary portable signs in <br />parking lot from September 23 through September 28, 1996. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section <br />1163.12 (G). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oatli was administered to Mr. <br />Costello, who eaplained the proposal is to install two temporary portable signs on wheels. He <br />clarified these same temporary signs that were approved last year. The members did not have a <br />problem with this proposal. <br />J. Maloney moved to grant Hobby's Etc, 23345 Lorain Road, variances to install two (2) temporary <br />portable signs in parking lot from September 23 through September 28 1996, a Violation of Ord. <br />90-125, Section 1163.12 (G). The motion was seconded by W. Purper and unavimously approved. <br />Variance grauted. <br />7. Vincent Palmieri. 23857 Frank Street. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request a 3 foot rear yard variance to construct addition. <br />Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.08 (A). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. Although no representative was <br />present, the commission decided this was too small of a variance to hold off until next month. There <br />was no one present to object to the proposal and the commission felt the request was rather small. <br />Chairman Gomersall moved to grant Vincent Palmieri, 23857 Frank Street, a 3 foot rear yard <br />variance to construct addition. The motion was seconded by W. Purper and unanimously approved. <br />Variance granted. <br />At this point Assistant Building Commissioner Rymarczyk asked the members to re-review a request that <br />was discussed on April 17, 1996, because per the foresters request there have been revisions to the U- <br />Store-It proposal located at 24000 Lorain Road. The members have received a memo from the Building <br />Commissioner outlining these revisions. Mr. Rymarezyk explained the city forester has requested the plau <br />be revised as follows: the exdsting arbor vitae trees, which are approximately 10 feet in height will remain; <br />the fence on the west side will be eliininated and additional arbor vitae planted; there are two openings <br />along the western border, which will be enclosed with a fence; the mounding on the rear northern side of <br />the property will be eliminated so as to prevent the existing trees and shrubbery from dying off; and the <br />board on board fence on the eastern property will remain, however, per the foresters request plantiugs will <br />be installed along the fence. Law Director Gareau pointed out there is an existiug mound on a portion of <br />the northern border. In response to Chairman Gomersall's question, it was explained that Mr. Sclunidt <br />from Adou Equipment, was the only ueighbor present at the previous meeting. Mr. Gomersall does not
