Bugala, R. Graves, J. HelonAand C. Remmel <br />Mr. Helon's term has expired and he has not been reappointed. <br />Election of Officers: <br />E. Graves moved to nominate Chester Remmel as Chairman for the Board of <br />Zoning Appeals for the City of North Olmsted, seconded by R. Gomersall. No <br />other nominations were made. Roll call on motion: Graves, Gomersall, <br />and Bugala, Aye. Mr. Helon and Mr. Remmel abstained. <br />R. Bugala moved to nominate E. Graves as Vice-Chairman, seconded by C. Remmel. <br />No other nominations were made. Roll call on motion: Bugala, Remmel,and <br />Gomersall, Aye. Helon and Graves abstained. <br />Hennie Homes, property located west of John Knox Church (25200 Lorain <br />Road) and east of proposed relocated SR 252. <br />Chairman Remmel announced that the Hennie Homes request has been continued <br />until the next meeting at the request of the developer. <br />Space Age Industrial Design, 30817 Bradley Rd. <br />Referred to the Board of Zoning Appeals by virtue of Section 1193.03. <br />Request 70' variance for location of building (side yard set back). <br />Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1195.03. Request 30' variance from <br />building to buffer. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1194.03. No record <br />of structure existing in buffer (Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1193.03) <br />Continued from meeting of December 4, 1985. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. Many neigh- <br />bors were present and listed their names and addresses with the Recording <br />Secretary. Mr. John Bonner, Jr. was spokesman for the neighbors who were <br />present from the adjacent Timber Trails Subdivision, Mr. Given and Mr. <br />Farver are property owners in the Limited Industrial District. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. Hardy, owner of Space Age Industrial Design, and <br />all neighbors present. Mr. Hardy explained that he plans to make the ex- <br />isting shop an office for engineers and designers, and a lunch room, and to <br />use addition for the machine shop which will be computer controlled. They <br />manufacture small parts. Plant is in the Limited Industrial District, how- <br />ever, property to the rear and side is residential. Mr. Bonner stated the <br />objections of the residential neighbors. They believe the purpose of the <br />Zoning Ordinance is to maintain the continuity of the community and the <br />immediate surrounding area and want these ordinances enforced as they are <br />written. If these variances are granted, others in the Limited Industrial <br />area on Bradley Road will request similar variances. Space Age is planning <br />to expand their plant by 108' to the rear of the existing structure, the <br />original building is non-conforming and this expansion will also be only
