BOARD OF BUILDING CODE APPEALS
OCTOBER 23, 1986 PAGE 2
check with the former Building Commissioner to verify that he approved
this verbally. The Board would also like a representative of the Engi-
neering Department present at the next meeting and would like them to
bring an engineering site plan of the property and information on the
storm sewer system in that area. Mr. Schartman may not be in town for
the next meeting, however the board will make a decision and notify him
if he is not present. Case continued.
During the above discussion, it was pointed out that the next regularly
scheduled meeting would fall on Thanksgiving. The Board decided to
meet the Wednesday before, November 20, 1986.
IV.
OLD BU9INESS:
Mr. Schulz questioned who approved the materials on the Great Northern
Shopping Center building, since it would appear to be a wafer board which
is being painted. He is questioning if that is an approved exterior mater-
ial under the State Codes. Mr. Spino was not the Building Commissioner
when this was approved but he will check into it. He believes that the
material is being covered with an epoxy material.
Mr. Spino requested the Board's opinion as to whether or not the smaller
sized satellite dish earth stations which are used for communication by
various corporations would be considered the same as the earth satellite
dish earth station as covered by the ordinance since they are limited to
communications. The Board agreed that these are the same and should con-
form to the ordinance. Board will be discussing these earth stations and
Ms. Petko from Curtis Mathes will be at the November meeting to furnish
information.
V. ADJOURNMENT:
The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
J. Kazak, Chairman
B. Oring, Clerk of Commissions
