.. <br /> <br />Nleeting of March 21, 1985 - Landmarks Commission <br />;e 2 <br />CORRESPONDENCE: Letter sent to Dr. Klein,, Carol Poh iAiller (oonsultants) <br />and Ron Timblin (student) that interviews would take place Monday, March 4 <br />between 7t30 and 8:30 p.m. and to respond to Mrso Lord by March 1. Carol <br />Poh Miller called to discuss the position with Mrs. Lord. Letter to Mr. <br />Vakamudi was previously sent. No responses were received for the March 4th <br />interviewso <br />GRANT INTERN; Leslie Trew and Richard Pailes were interviewed February 25th. <br />Leslie Trew has been selected and verbal agreement received. She will report <br />for work Saturday, ;YZarch 23 at 9:00 a.m. Letter of regret was sent I4r. Pailes. <br />Hobert Parry moved that we hire Leslie Trew for the Grant project, seconded <br />by Yvonne Petrigac and unanimously approved. <br />SECRETARY FOR COMMISSION: Chairman Betty Lord asked for a volunteer from <br />the commission to serve as secretary. No one volunteered. Julia Brown <br />will act as secretary for this meeting. Discussion followed. Robert Parry <br />made a motion, seconded by Gloria Sell, that we first ask Don Copeland if <br />he has someone who might be interested in the position so we may have some- <br />one for the firs.t meeting in April on a trial basis and that we submit a <br />bill for $20.00 a meeting, and if the city doesn't pay then each commission <br />member would have to come up with $3.00 to pay them. Al1 were in favor. <br />;TINGS: It was agreed that the Landmarks Commission would meet the first <br />and third Thursday of the month startinla. in April due to the extra work <br />involved with the Grant and other matters. <br />PROJECT REPORTS: <br />1. Site Markers - llamaged signs are finally up at Butternut Cemetery <br />at the Library. <br />2. H.B.R.P. - Presentation to the 11 recipients, with slide presentation, <br />is set for lvlonday, May 6th, in council chambers. Lois Van Auken and <br />Sharon Fleming will arrange for press and Cable TV coverage. Mayor <br />will attend. Commission members will provide light refreshments <br />following the presentation. <br />3. TOWN HALL -(C.D.B.G.) Lois Van Auken will be in touch with ;?Iro Dale <br />Serne as to the next phase for C.D.B.G. application. <br />Meeting was adjourned at 11:35 p.m. <br />B ty Lo , Chairman <br />Julia K.
