Ah?
3
, PL,ANNING COMMISSION APRIL 23, 1985 PAGE
r
Chairman Burns read the Safety Department report which was presented to
the BZD Committee regarding the Biskind Development Co motel and office
building proposal on Country Club Blvd:...."Our Safety Department have re-
viewed the preliminary plans to construct this hotel in Mixed Use District./
The plan review was conducted by Capt. R. Krynak, North Olmsted Police De-
partment. His reports indicate that the curb cuts are not clear for the
driveways. However, if the East Drivp is for eastbound traffic only, and
the West Exit/Entrance across from the existing signal for westbound traffic,
then no problem can be foreseen at this time./ We would recommend that any
attempt to cut through the median where the East Drive is located be refused.
The sight problem would be a major problem for permitting a cut through on
the median./The plan was also reviewed by Assistant Fire Chief R. Osterhouse,
North Olmsted Fire Department. His report indicates that he has no objec-
tions or comments at this time, since insufficient information on the Pre-
liminary Plan makes it impossible to evaluate from their standpoint."
Chairman Burns requested that a copy of the report be sent to the developer.
VI. NEW BUSINESS:
No items.
VII. OLD BUSINESS:
No items.
VIII. COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Chairman Burns distributed copies of a study of North Olmsted as compared
to the surrounding area including North Olmsted, Cuyahoga County, and the
area serviced by NOACA which was discussed by the Transportation Committee.
IX. ADJOURNMENT:
The Recording Secretary requested that the Engineering Department be compen-
sate in part for the Real Estate Tax Atlas with microfisch and reader.which
was leased by the Engineering Department. The atlas will be used to send
Planning Commission notices. It was decided that the Commission would be
willing to help defray the cost this year; next year this will be included
in the Engineering Department budget.
J. Wixted moved to excuse the absence of B. Gorris, seconded by J. Brown,
and unanimously approved.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 p.m.

Ji?' Burns, Chairman
B. Oring,
cording Secretary
