, <br />e <br />PLANNING COMMISSION SEPTEMBER 24, 1985 PAGE 5 <br />VII.' `OLD BUSINESS: <br />In reference to complaints made by residents of Root Road during the dis- <br />cussion of the Self-Service Ma.xi Wash (September lOth), City Engineer <br />Schaller reported that they can alleviate their problems somewhat by giving <br />them a 5 second delay at the Great Northern traffic light. This should <br />give_them time to-pull out onto Lorain Road. Mr. Morgan-would like the <br />Engineering Department to advise the residents of this. <br />Mr. Gorris would like the Commission to make a formal request of Biskind <br />Development Company to present a layout of the entire Great Northern Strip <br />Center. This was r.equested informa.lly-at the time the Great Northern Theatre ... <br />addition was proposed:a <br />Also in reference to th:e June 25th miriutes-for which Mr. Gorris had sent <br />word:to:correct-the minutes of June 11th:to include:Mr. Jackma.n.-'.s-state- <br />ment_.:that:"he would.-not recommend..the smaller spaces for the shopping <br />center or: the mall";!1:Mr. Gorris;-was contacted-by:Biskind.-Development--..:! --- <br />Company who explained that Mr. Jackman had stated that he would not recom- <br />mend the smaller.spaces for.Pick and.Pay. It was determined by listening <br />to the tape; that-.Mr-. Jackman-..._did say Pi.ck and Pay. B. Gorris moved that <br />in the correction of the Minutes-of.June llth, as reflected in the June 25th <br />meeting, as it related to Mr. Jackman`s quote,that the quote be changed to <br />state that "he would not recommend the smaller spaces for Pick and Pay, in <br />lieu of the words "tHe shopping center or the mall", seconded by_J. Burns, - <br />and unanimously approved. <br />VIII.- COMMI-TTEE REPORTS: <br />The city wide work shop for the <br />Saturday, September 21st. Over <br />the traffic survey and there was <br />IX.
