a <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />MINUTES - SEPTEMBER 5, 1984 <br />Chairman Remmel called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Present: R. Bugala, J. Helon, L. Horvath, and C. Remmel <br />Absent: E. Graves <br />Also Present: Law Director M. Gareau, Building Commissioner E. Gundy, and <br />Recording Secretary B. Oring <br />Chairman Remmel corrected the Minutes of August lst, to include in Item 1, <br />before motion: "This is a wide lot." L. Horvath moved to approve the <br />Minutes of August 1, 1984 as adjusted, seconded by R. Bugala, and unani- <br />mously approved. <br />Continued from the meeting of August 1, 1984: <br />John H. Wilson, 4070 Fielding <br />Request for ruling (1133.07). Complainant is challenging the decision of <br />the Building Official. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. Wilson and Mr. Albenese who built the "tree house" <br />They have come to no agreement between themselves and Mr. Wilson still ob- <br />jects to the structure. This item does not fall under any City ordinance, <br />and Mr. Albenese was advised by the Building Department that no permit was <br />needed. R. Bugala moved that the Board rules that they will stand with <br />the Building Commissioners decision in this case, we have no ordinance to <br />the contrary and we are standing with the decision as made in the absence <br />of an ordinance, seeonded by J. Helon, and unanimously approved. Mr. <br />Remmel urged that the two parties work this out between themselves. <br />1. Charleen Callahan, 28201 Camellia Dr. <br />Request for variance (1133.07). Request variance to operate Secretarial <br />Service in residential district. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04. <br />Chairnan Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mrs. H. Moore, Jr., a neighbor, and Mrs. Callahan. Mr. <br />Bugala noted that the house is located on the "no parking side of the street" <br />and is at an intersection of 3 streets. He is opposed to any business in a <br />residential neighborhood. Mrs. Moore has no objections to the proposal and <br />she pointed out that Mrs. Callahan has a double driveway. There will be <br />no signage. Mrs. Callahan is hoping trD tuild up a clientel and eventually <br />move into an office. Chairman Remmel read Section 1151.04-A, which states <br />types of professional offices allowed in a residential area and item B, <br />which set limitations. C. Remmel moved to grant the request for a vari- <br />ance, seconded by L. Horvath. Roll call on motion: Remmel, Horvath, and <br />Helon, Aye. Bugala, Nay. Motion passed. Variarace granted.
