<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - OCTOBER 23, 1984 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Morgan called the meeting to.order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: J. Burns, B. Gorris, E. Traczyk, J. Wixted, J. Brown, and <br />T. Morgan. . <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Director J. Dubelko, Building Inspector <br />J. Gibbons, Cify Engineer J. Schaller, Councilmen R. Tallon <br />and R. Bierman, and Recording Secretary B. Oring <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />Mr. Burns amended the Minutes of October 9, 1984, on Page 3, item 5, 8th <br />line to read "....storage or display of inerchandise and storage of auto- <br />mobiles in front set back." J. Burns moved to accept the Minutes of <br />October 9, 1984 as amended, seconded by E. Traczyk, and.unanimously ap- <br />proved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1) Motorists Mutual Insurance Co., approximately 28111 Lorain Rd. <br />(south side of Lorain, one lot east of McKenzie Rd.) <br />Proposal to construct drive-in claims office including signs. <br />Heard by Architectural Board of Review October 17, 1984. <br />Mr. Keltner of Motorists Mutual presented revised site plan which now <br />includes a 7' planting strip between driveway and fence adjacent to <br />residential property. Architectural Board of Review had approved <br />proposal as submitted. The Fire Department recommended that a sprin- <br />kler system be installed and that emergency lighting and exit lighting <br />be provided. Mr. Keltner stated that emergency lighting and exit <br />lighting are being provided, but no sprinkler system was planned. <br />Smoke and heat detectors connected to A..D.T. will be installed. <br />Councilman Tallon was advised that hours of operation will be 8:15 <br />a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Commission had no problems with signs. B. Gorris <br />moved to accept the Motorists Mutual plans for 28111 Lorain Road in- <br />cluding the signs as presented and subsequently amended by the Archi- <br />tectural Board of Review and includingthe 7' change in the driveway <br />and screening as proposed, seconded by J. Brown, and unanimously ap- <br />proved. Chairman Morgan requested that copies of Planning Commission <br />and Architectural Board of Review Minutes be sent to Mr. and Mrs. <br />Hill whose property abuts this property. <br />2) Marc's 26393 Great Northern Shopping Center <br />Proposal to construct addition to rear of store. <br />Heard by Architectural Board of Review October 17, 1983. <br />Proposal was withdrawn by Great Northern Properties.
