CITY OF NORTA OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF BUILDING CODE APPEALS <br />MINUTES - AUGUST 27, 1984 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Schulz called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m. <br />Present: R. Burk, R. Puzzitiello, and B. Schulz <br />J. Kazak arrived at 7:30 p.m. <br />Absent: J. Patton <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner E. Gundy and Recording Secretary <br />B. Oring <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />In the Minutes of May 24, 1984, Mr. Schulz would like to amend motion <br />to include some standards for type of split block that is approved by <br />the Board. Motion should read "R. Puzzitiello moved to amend Section <br />1569.07 "Exposed exterior walls of masonry-construction above grade <br />shall be faced with brick, stone, split block which has to meet A.S.T.M. <br />C-145-75;(solid masonry units), or other material hereafter approved <br />by the building code Board of Appeals,.....'' The Minutes of May 24, 1984 <br />were apnroved as amended. <br />III, NEW BUSINESSt <br />Building Commissioner Gundy would like to amend the Agenda to nermit the <br />study of the North Olmsted Veterinary Hospital exterior walls of Dry-vit <br />Outsulation. Board would like this tabled until they see samples and <br />specifications of material. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />At the last meeting the Board approved the 1983 One and Two Family <br />Dwelling Code. Board discussed amendments. It was--decided that,al•1 pre- <br />vious amendments'should be carried through on the.1983 edition. Board <br />would like to amend section R210.3 regarding garages, so that a concrete <br />floor would be required in detached garages. J. Kasak moved to amend <br />the building code, Section R210.3 to specify concrete floors in detached <br />garages, seconded by R. Puzzitiello, and unanimously approved. R. Puz- <br />zitiello moved to accept amendments to the 1983 edition of the One and <br />Two Family Dwelling Code, seconded by J. Kazak, and unanimously approved. <br />Board will discuss Ord. 75-116 regarding ctiimrieys at a later meeting. <br />Chairman Schulz welcomed Mr. Burk to the Board. <br />V.
