Mayor Swietyniowski stated that landscaped areas have been a big improvement to the appear- ance of the business areas. Mr. Ebin would like parapet extended around entire building to screen cnechanical units. Developer would rather use split units with small condensor on roof. It was agreed that moving these units to front of building whemthey would be shielded by parapet in front could be a solution. i7r. Mongello questioned why only one drive to parking area and why it is placed so close to intersection since bus stop could cause some problems. Mr. Petroski believes it is best to have fewer drives on Lorain Road and he pointed out there is lOQ' between drive and W. 231 St, and this conforms to code. Entry drive is planned to service the center of the parking lot, and drive on West 231 St is for service vehicles only (neighbors are objecting to service drive and would have even more objections to a customer drive on their street), S. Ebin moved to approve the plans for Landspan Corp. with the following provisions: 1. That a landscape plan be resubmitted to the Board. 2. That the arch be elir.tinated and resubmitted to the Board, possibly pilaster or walls to give the center the identy it needs without the arch. 3. That'the aax:.conditioners are screened by a parapet on east wall returning on the north wait several feet and with the same parapet on the west wall returning several feet on the north wall; the architect should consider moving the.air conditioners to the south and keep them as 1ow as possible, definitely below the elevation of the south parapet. 4. Architect to widen entrance to the maximum of the North Olmsted Code. 5. Ask architect to review the location of entrance drive with the possibility of moving is a little bit to the west. seconded by R. Mongello, and unanimously approved. The architect and developer were asked to bring drawings of the entrance and landscaping to the Board at a later date, but proposal is approved and can go on to Planning Commission. VI.
