Because of this <br />concern, the commission would like to talk to the principals in- <br />volved. B. Gorris moved to continue the Sears' Dry Cleaners pro- <br />posal until a representative can attend Planning Commission, sec- <br />onded by J. Burns, and unanimously approved. <br />IV. NEW DEVELOPMENTS AND SUBDIVISIONS: <br />No Items <br />V. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Ord. 83-32: This legislation pertains to- the request of Jamestown <br />Development Co. to rezone three parcels on Columbia Road from <br />Single Residential to Multi-family. The members reviewed the ordi.- <br />nance and noted that it was consistant with their recommendations of <br />February 22, 1983. Assistant Law Director Dubelko stated that no <br />further action by the commission was necessary. <br />Ord. 83-36: Councilman Woerpel explained that this limits the <br />height of the buildings in the Industrial Park to 25'. This limi- <br />tation could preclude some businesses from utilizing the Park. The <br />height limitation for this'area had previously been reduced from 50' <br />to 35'. The commission would like to study this further. J. Roberts <br />moved to continue Ord. 83-36, seconded by J. Brown, and unanimously <br />approved. , <br />VI, NEW BUSINESS: <br />No Items <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS: <br />The commission questioned why the Dynamic Hair Design_canopy had not <br />been approved by Council. Mr. Woerpel stated that BZD Committee had <br />recommended approval, he was not sure why Council had disapproved. <br />Developers Diversified (rejected by Planning Commission on February 22) <br />requested Council to reconsider Planning Commission's decision. The <br />proposal was placed.in BZD and will be discussed March 31st. <br />Mr. Woerpel advised that the Sign Committee for the Industrial Park <br />will be meeting soon. <br />Mr. Gorris will chair a committee to study land available for devel- <br />opment;?_Mr. Roberts, Mr. Morgan, and Mr. Wixted will also serve. The <br />committee will need information from the Engineering Dept. regarding <br />undeveloped property. They will be studying the 1968 comprehensive <br />plan regarding recomnendations of the ratios of commercial property <br />to residential property. <br />VII.
