? <br />? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - SEPTEMBER 27, 1983 <br />1. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Morgan called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. <br />Present: J. Burns, J. Roberts, J. Wixted, J. Brown, and T. Morgan <br />B. Gorris arrived at 8:15 p.m. <br />Also Present: E. Gundy, Building Commissioner; J. Dubelko, Assistant <br />Law Director; D. McDermott, Assistant City Engineer; <br />R. Bierman, Councilman; and B. Oring, Recording Secretary. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />J. Roberts moved to approve the Minutes of July 27, 1983 as presented, <br />seconded by J. Burns, and unanimously approved. <br />Minutes of September 13, 1983 were corrected: Page 2, item 2, line 9, <br />motion should read "...until a representative is present to answer any <br />questioris regarding proposal,. . . . . "; also Page 4, line 22,8th word, <br />should be corhplies; and 33r-3 line, 3 word should be purchased. <br />J. Wixted moved to approve Minutes of September 27, 1983 as corrected, <br />seconded by J. Roberts, and unanimously approved. <br />ITI. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1. Standard Oil Company, 23455 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to demolish and rebuild on site. <br />Tabled on September 13, 1983 - No representative present. <br />Mr. A. Schneider explained proposal, however, since there has been <br />. a delay, they are considering moving building forward to allow <br />sufficient room for a driveway behind building. A variance would <br />then be reqnired. Either proposal will involve total demolition <br />of the existing building, pump islands, and storage tanks. Four <br />pump islands will be located under a canopy, building will include <br />a mini-mart. Normal hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., how- <br />' ever; these hours could possibly be extended. It was noted that <br />there is a sewer easement on property. Assistant City Engineer <br />, McDermott advised that an underground retention system will be re- ` <br />quired. When original station was built retention system was not <br />required. It was suggested that since a portion of property at <br />corner has been dedicated to City and resurfacing is planned ( hope- <br />fully for next year), this should be taken into consideration dur- <br />in re-deveio ment of site Mr McDermott will consult with they,t <br />g P . . <br />on this. J_ Burns moved to refer the Standard Oil Co. proposal to <br />demolish and rebui,ld the site at Lorain and Clague and to the <br />Architectural Board of Review, seconded by J.:BurTf-s, and unani- <br />mously approved. ?61? o,JuJ evti?,
