CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />I PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - NOVEMBER 22, 1983 <br />I. ROLL CALL : <br />Chairman Morgan called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: J. Burns, J. Roberts, E. Traczyk, J. Wixted, J. Brown, and <br />T. Morgan, <br />Absent; B. Gorris <br />Al,so Present; Assistant Law Director J. Dubelko, Building Commissioner <br />E. Gundy, Assistant City Engineer D. McDermott, and <br />Recording Secretary B. Oring <br />Law Director M. Gareau arrived later in meeting. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />The minutes of November lOth were corrected on Page 3, 3rd paragraph, <br />3xd line from bottom to read "...requesting an amendment to Zoning <br />Oxdinance...". J, Roberts moved to approve the minutes of November <br />10, 1983 as corrected, seconded by J. Burns, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1) Brennan Auto Body, 25044 Lorain Rd. <br />Addition to body shop and parts store <br />Approved by Architectural Board of Review Nov. 16, 1983. <br />Commission studied proposal and recommendations of Architectural <br />Board of Review. Mr, Brennan agreed to comply with their recom- <br />mendations (doors will be same color as building, brick will be <br />installed under loading dock facing Lorain Rd.). J. Brown moved <br />to approve the Brennan Auto Body proposals to construct additions <br />to auto parts store and body shop with the recommendations of the <br />Architectural Board of Review, seconded by J. Wixted, and unani- <br />mously approved. , <br />2) Rini.TS Supermarket, 26035 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to construct addition to supermarket <br />Disappxoved by ,Architectural Board of Review Nov. 16, 1983 pending <br />submission of landscape plan. <br />Proposal was not approved by the Architectural Board of Review <br />since they had submitted no landscape plan. Mr. Morgan questioned <br />if Commission could act on proposal since there is pending litaga- <br />tion. The City has received no formal notice of restraining <br />order so Commission can hear proposal. Motion of Council pertain- <br />ing to ruling of BZA was discussed. Planning Commission is still <br />bound by the Board of Zoning Appeals ruling. Mr. Draeger, archi- <br />tect, presented a plan for a 3' landscape strip which reduces <br />the size of the access drive to 18'. Mr. Gundy advised that a 20'
