r <br />. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />^w BOARD OF BUILDING CODE APPEALS <br />MINUTES - AUGUST 25, 1983 <br />I. RQLL CALL : <br />Chairman Schulz called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Present: J. Kazak, J. Patton, R. Tallon, and B. Schulz <br />Absent: R. Puzzitiello <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner E. Gundy and Recording <br />Secretary B. Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />The Minutes of July 28, 1983 were approved as read. <br />III. NEW BUSINESS: <br />1. Third Federal Savings and Loan, 26949 Lorain Rd. <br />Appealing an order of the Assistant Prosecutor Dan Ryan as per <br />letter dated June 27, 1983 (sidewalk violation citation). <br />Violation of Codified Ord. 1362.02 (a) (8). <br />Postponed by appellant, <br />2. North 0lmsted Board of Education, 27351 Butternut Ridge <br />Request to use exterior material on storage building to be <br />located on southeast area of high school property. Hearing <br />required by Ord. 64-113 (exterior walls of masonry construction <br />above grade shall be faced with brick, stone, or other mater- <br />ial hereafter approved by the Board of Building Code Appeals). <br />Chairman Schulz administered the oath to J. Boss, who represented <br />the Eagle Booster Club who is constructing the building. Mr. <br />Boss explained that they wanted to use concrete block since it <br />will be more durable and will withstand vandalism which is pre- <br />valent on school property. Area is screened by trees from ad- <br />j.acent houses and building will be 20' from property line of <br />the adjacent homes. Building will be painted and existing ticket <br />booths are also painted concrete block. It was observed that <br />those buildings are well maintained. Neighbors were notified and <br />none were present to object. J. Patton moved to approve the use <br />of concrete block for the North Olmsted Board of Education storage <br />building.with the condition that the building must be painted, <br />seconded by R. Tallon, and unanimously approved. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />1:983 Building Codes will be discussed at a later meeting. <br />Mr. Ta11on advised that the 1984 Electric Code will be coming out. <br />The Board will be discussing this when it is available. <br />V. ADJOURNMENT: <br />The.meeting was adjourned at 7:55 p.m. <br />B. Schulz, Chairman B. Oring, Recording Secretary
