Minutes of Landmarks Commission <br />February 18,1982 <br />Present: Chairman Betty Lord, Marlene Orzechowski, Robert <br />Hunter, Lois Van Auken, John Romano, Dwayne Woerpel <br />and Julia Brown <br />Meeting was called to order by Chairman Betty Lord at 7:45 p.m. <br />Minutes of ineeting of January 21, 1982 approved. <br />At this point in the meeting Mayor Swietyniowski administered the <br />Oath of Office to Robert Hunter and John Romano. <br />Correspondence: Council minutes and notice of CDBG meeting 3/4/82. <br />H.B.R.P. - Plaques were presented to Mr. & Mrs. Jack Boss in behalf <br />of I4r. Forrest Kitson, 27935 Lorain Rd. and to Mr. & Mrs. Bruce <br />Pearson, 26944 Butternut Ridge. Mr. Schmiedlin unable to attend <br />due to death of his mother. Will be contacted again to possibly <br />attend our March meeting. <br />Reports - Marlene Orzechowski reported out on her meeting with the <br />mayor on January 25th at which time letters were delivered regarding <br />Town Hall remodeling and Community Cabin repairs. At this time he, <br />also advised the order for the Bus Line site marker was bein.g hEld <br />up. She also elaborated on her meeting with Mary Slama and Mr. <br />Corrigan regarding Town Hall remodeling. <br />Motion was made by Lois Van Auken and seconded by D. Woerpel that ` <br />we write a letter to the city administration,in view of the loss of <br />one of our buildings,(bus line garage) perhaps because of wiring deficiencies, that we be sure that Town Hall wiring meets code <br />before contemplating any other remodeling. Motion unanimously approved. <br />Members also voiced their concern about the condition of the wiring <br />of the Community Cabin. . <br />Marlene Orzechowski moved that we invite Mr. Mongello to our next <br />meeting, seconded.by Lois Van Auken, for the purpo.se of discussing <br />future of Town Hall, its usage, ;-:P-tc. Unanimously approved.- <br />Other items discussed: - 1.) Future houses to be plaqued** Letters <br />to be sent to next seven on list - Alvah Stearns house,.Salisbury <br />house „ Biddulph, Caster, Lang barn, Mitzel and Mill'er. 2.) Fairview <br />Park Landmark - Members agreed to personally contribute $1. eacYi toward <br />the F. P. Cemetery Landmark Fund. 3.) Additional member to the Land- <br />marks Commission'o ** And ways research could be accomplished. <br />Meeting was adjourned at 10:30 P.M. <br />Julia K. Brown, Secy. BettY Lord, Chairman
