Such information <br />was given. About July 12th Pffarlene Orzechowski checked with Dwayne <br />Woerpel and Yvonne Petrigac regarding a rumor that 4;1,000. was to be <br />removed from Landtnarks budget. On July 22nci at MraYor's Listening Night <br />she was informz?,u that this was oeing planneci. She attended Special City <br />Council meeting'on July 27th asking Council why 2/3 of Landmarks' budget <br />was being taken when there had been money available fqr new furniture, etc. <br />13etty Lord proposed that the budget be examined for items which could be <br />revised and cut, so that the $500. from_Landmarks Commission for the `Pown <br />i-iall rewiring could be appropriated. It was moved by Marlene Orzechowski, <br />seconded by Lois Van Auken, that a representative of the Landmarks Com-- <br />mission attend the Special Council Meeting on /lugust 10th to present a <br />statement. This statement would include: <br />1. Concurrence with amendment calling for $500. - not <br />$1,000. - from Landmarks Commission budget toward <br />cost of rewiring Town Hall. <br />2. Placing this rewiring as the first step in a long- <br />range rehabilitation program of 'Town f-lall. <br />lvlotion passed. <br />Meeting was adjourned at 10:20 p.m. <br />Lois Van Auken, Secy.
