?
i
PLANNING COMMISSION DECEMBER 14, 1982,_.; PAGE 2
Mr. Shep of Springvale explained that the existing sign, which
had originally been located on an easement,.was moved during
the construction of 1480 to Mr. Yesberger's property on the
southwest corner of Canterbury and Butternut Ridge. He would
like to install a new sign on the same side of the street but
located in the, public right-of-way. Mr. Yesberger, of North
Olmsted Country Club and Mr. Shep are interested in installing
a combined sign for both clubs. This will be an illuminated
sign in some type.of planting bed. If the City agrees to the
location, :they;will present a detailed description and specific
location of the sign. The Commission questioned if there would
be any legal problem with placing a sign for private business
on public property. T. Morgan moved that the Law Department
review the placement of the Springvale Country Club Public
Service sign on public right-of-way on the southwest corner
of Canterbury and Butternut Ridge and report its findings
back to the Planning Commission relative to whether such a sign
could be placed on public property, seconded by J.
