CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW MINUTES - OCTOBER 22, 1982 I. ROLL CALL: Acting Chairman Ebin called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. Present: S. Ebin and R. Parry. Mrs. Case arrived at 7:20 p.m. Absent; R. Monegello Also Present: Recording Secretary B. Oring II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: In the minutes of September 22, 1982 on page 1, Item III, Signs, paragraph (b), line 12 should read "... support pole, must be in accordance.with the code area requirements...... ; Page 3, paragraph 3, line 21, should read "... S. Ebin moved to accept the Kovatchy..." Page 2, Item IV, (2) line 14, change to read "....Mr. Draeger stated a lift station might be required..." R. Parry moved to accept the Minutes of September 22, 1982 as amended, seconded by S. Ebin, and unanimously approved. III. SIGNS: (a) Bathique International Ltd. (Marjak Development Co.). 4614 Great Northern Blvd. - Wall Sign Approved as presented. (b) National Pride Car Wash (Bob Cutler Signs, Inc.) 23560 Lorain Rd. - Pole Sign Mr. Parry questioned if illegal pennants which had been on the building had been removed only because this sign was going through the Boards. The representatives of National Pride had been advised by the Architectural Board on April 19, 1982 that pennants were illegal. S. Ebin moved to approve the sign as presented with the understanding:that the electricity comes from underground, seconded by R. Parry, and unanimously approved. Mr. Parry asked the Building Department to watch, after.the pole sign is installed, that the pennants are not put baclc up. Mr. Parry advised the Board that there is a free standing ground placard at the Sohio station at Great Northern Blvd. and Lorain Road which is placed on the middle of the sidewalk and which is very dangerous. He requeststhat the Building Department check it out. IV. NEW BUSINESS:. Ordinance 82-124 (Reviewed by Planning Commission 10/12/82)
