CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW <br />MINUTES - OCTOBER 22, 1982 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Acting Chairman Ebin called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. <br />Present: S. Ebin and R. Parry. Mrs. Case arrived at 7:20 p.m. <br />Absent; R. Monegello <br />Also Present: Recording Secretary B. Oring <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />In the minutes of September 22, 1982 on page 1, Item III, Signs, <br />paragraph (b), line 12 should read "... support pole, must be in <br />accordance.with the code area requirements...... ; Page 3, paragraph <br />3, line 21, should read "... S. Ebin moved to accept the Kovatchy..." <br />Page 2, Item IV, (2) line 14, change to read "....Mr. Draeger stated <br />a lift station might be required..." R. Parry moved to accept the <br />Minutes of September 22, 1982 as amended, seconded by S. Ebin, and <br />unanimously approved. <br />III. SIGNS: <br />(a) Bathique International Ltd. (Marjak Development Co.). <br />4614 Great Northern Blvd. - Wall Sign <br />Approved as presented. <br />(b) National Pride Car Wash (Bob Cutler Signs, Inc.) <br />23560 Lorain Rd. - Pole Sign <br />Mr. Parry questioned if illegal pennants which had been on the <br />building had been removed only because this sign was going <br />through the Boards. The representatives of National Pride had <br />been advised by the Architectural Board on April 19, 1982 that <br />pennants were illegal. S. Ebin moved to approve the sign as <br />presented with the understanding:that the electricity comes from <br />underground, seconded by R. Parry, and unanimously approved. <br />Mr. Parry asked the Building Department to watch, after.the <br />pole sign is installed, that the pennants are not put baclc up. <br />Mr. Parry advised the Board that there is a free standing ground <br />placard at the Sohio station at Great Northern Blvd. and Lorain Road <br />which is placed on the middle of the sidewalk and which is very <br />dangerous. He requeststhat the Building Department check it out. <br />IV. NEW BUSINESS:. <br />Ordinance 82-124 (Reviewed by Planning Commission 10/12/82)
