e
.
BOARD OF BUILDING CODE APPEALS 1982 ANNUAL REPORT PAGE 2
.`
MARCH 25, 1983
Mr. Ben K. Wright requested permission to move a single family residence
from 25391 Butternut Ridge Road to Permanent Parcel 323-11-21. Mr.
Lupica of 27588 Butternut Ridge Road advised the Board of his approval
but was unable to attend the meeting. The Board approved the house
move.
MAY 27, 1982
The Board approved a request by Pick and Pay Food Palace, Great Nor-
thern Plaza, to use Svec split block on their new building at Great
Northern Plaza.
The Board approved the use of stucco exterior walls for the new Chi
Chi`s Restaurant being constructed at Great Northern Plaza.
The Brooks Electrical Sign Co., which had their license #413 revoked,
appealed to the Board. This was then withdrawn by appellant until
•June 24, 1983.
The Board discussed some of the amendments to the One and Tao Family
IJwelling Codes. Mr. Gundy was concerned with the manner in which
lumber was being graded. The Board wi11 discuss the changes at
greater length at the October meeting.
JUI,Y 22, 1982 •
Roppo's Hair Salon, 4905 Dover Center Rd. requested the use of a
stucco material on his building remodeling. The Board approved the
material if the stucco is applied per specifications in Section 503.3
of the One and Tao Family Dwelling Code.
William Given asked for approval of a building constructed of block
and sealed with paint. The Board rejected this material. Mr. Given
agreed to use Svec split Block and the Board approved his request.
The building sie is 30948 Bradley Road.
The Board discussed having the Sign Ordinance rephrased to stipulate
a fee to be levied if a sign is installed without getting proper
approval.
In reference to the May meeting, the Board decided to draft a letter
to the Law Department requesting that the ordinance be rewritten so
that a fine could be levied and the City can make the contractor re-
move a sign installed without prior approval until such sign is ap-
proved. After drafting, the letter will be forwarded to the Planning
Commission and Council for approval.
Respectfully submitted
J. Kasak, Secretary
s
